What's up with predicitive text turning itself off even though it says it's turned on when you hold down on the smilie button? Then I have to turn it off and back on to make it work again. Don't nobody got time for that.

That still happens to me with my iPhone 5.

I use and set Swiftkey to my default keyboard. But many times when replying to a text or searching something on Safari, it will default back to regular keyboard. Annoying.

I had issues with Swiftkey so I got rid of it. Plus I use voice to text all the time and that is only w/ the factory keyboard. Searching around it's a common bug for predictive to turn itself off. Glitchy iPhone, lol. Still love it though.

Yup third party keyboards have been glitchy for me so I've turned them off.

I think it has to do with apples insistence that 3rd party keyboards can't be used for sensitive stuff like password entry etc.

Well that's a bummer. As much as I've been shitting on Android lately, poor 3rd party keyboard integration is a deal breaker for me.

iPhones have that capability. Not sure if it's only with 3rd party keyboards or not.

^It is. And they're all mostly junk or the OS has issues with it.

I fixed my problem. Apparently the stock glue behind the battery didn't take well to the battery I installed last year. It was moving around a little bit in there. So I doubled over a piece of duct tape and my phone hasn't shut off since. Lol.

I'm up for a new phone soon. I read that the new iphone 6S may be coming soon. Having the newest does not matter to me as even the 6 will be new coming from a 4S.

Can someone tell me if the current price on a iphone 6 is the same as when it was introduced in Sept 2014? I'm asking because I don't want to pay full introductory price for a phone that's about to be last year's model. Current ATT price is $650. Was that the price back then?

Also, do you know if Apple made "improvements" to the iphone 6 since introduction? I don't mean processor or camera. More like, do you think the build quality is better now (Aug) vs let's say the Sept production?

Price is the same AFAIK. No, not better build quality.

Also, it IS worth it to wait for the 6S.

If you want a deal on the 6 or 5S wait until the holidays. You will see places offering them at a discount. Keep an eye on slickdeals.

Apple's annual fall iPhone event will likely be held on Wednesday, September 9, reports BuzzFeed's John Paczkowski, who has provided reliable information on event dates in the past. Apple expected to unveil 'iPhone 6s,' new Apple TV on Sept. 9

Apple is reportedly eyeing a media event for Sept. 9, where the company is expected to show off its next-generation iPhone and Apple TV hardware, and may even unveil new iPads, according to a new report.

Citing people familiar with the company's plans, John Paczkowski of Buzzfeed reported on Friday that Apple is planning to hold its annual iPhone presentation the week of Sept. 7, with that Wednesday, Sept. 9, being the most likely date. Last year's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus unveiling was held on the very same date.

Just noticed my 6 has started bending ever so slightly right at the volume buttons where they seem to do. I'll be swinging by the Apple Store tonight and see what's up but I'm hoping they'll replace it as I've been nothing but gentle with this phone.

^ you're holding it wrong!

Rumors are that the 6s/6s+ will be made of 7000 series Aluminium instead of 6000 and the area around the volume buttons is thicker than on the 6.

All that to fix a problem that wasn't a problem. Just like the fixed they antenna flaw in the 4s that wasn't a problem with the 4.

The same guy that measured the thickness of the old and new case did a test that measured force applied to bend the iphone shell.

6 shell: 30 lbs of force
6s shell: 80 lbs of force

IMO, It was a non issue anyways over sensationalized by this asshat and the media.

If it was an actual issue, we'd still be hearing about it.

Also my coworker's 6 just bent last week.. And it was supposed to only affect the 6Plus. So anecdotal evidence is anecdotal.

iPhone camera replacement program.

Apple Launches iSight Camera Replacement Program for iPhone 6 Plus
Aug 21, 2015 2:44 pm PDT by Juli Clover
iphone6pluscameraApple today launched an iSight Camera replacement program for the iPhone 6 Plus, which will see the company replacing the camera module in a small percentage of iPhone 6 Plus devices that have a faulty rear-facing camera.

According to a new support page dedicated to the replacement program, some iPhone 6 Plus units that were sold between September of 2014 and January of 2015 could have a component that can fail and cause photos to look blurry.

iPhone 6 Plus units that are producing blurry photos and have an eligible serial number will get their cameras replaced from Apple at no charge. Replacement units can be obtained through Apple's online support team, an Apple retail store, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.

iPhone 6 Plus users have been complaining of blurry photos since shortly after the device first launched in September of 2014. As outlined in various reports, the issue prevents the camera from focusing and could be related to the Optical Image Stabilization in the larger-screened device. The iPhone 6, which does not have Optical Image Stabilization, is not affected.

Example of blurry photo from faulty iPhone 6 Plus camera, from Apple's Support Forums

Apple recommends that affected users prepare for the replacement process by backing up their data to iTunes or iCloud. Apple also warns that iPhone 6 Plus units with damage like a cracked screen will need to have those issues solved before the camera can be replaced as the damage could impair the camera replacement process.

The iSight Camera Replacement Program will cover iPhone 6 Plus iSight cameras for three years after the first retail sale of the unit.
I hope mine is covered because I get that shlt when my camera first starts up for about half a second and then works fine.

You can hear the OIS rapidly shaking really fast.
