I'm actually disappointed with Apple. Everything they announced was expected and not amazing. Nothing 'revolutionary' or significant features in the past few releases... 6S = 6 = bigger 5S = 5 just with slightly better APU. Resolution still sucks compared to the competitors too. ![Frown](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)

With Apple, the resolution doesn't seem to matter much, they just get more out of their cameras than anyone else. For some reason, Android cameras can't give you as good of results with more megapixels and seemingly more toys.

^Thought I read some Android phone cameras like Note 4 last year were superior. But you're right that Apple hangs/beats Android cameras with less MP since we know MP is overrated.

Yeah I had checked. They updated the prices last night. 64GB for $300 for 6P for my gf is an option for her. Best Buy seems to not sell ATT with 2 year contract pricing.
Does AppleCare cover glass breakage meaning if you do the new lease program, you can drop your phone a million times and get free replacements?

AppleCare+ covers 2 incidentals for 79/99. After that you'll have to get a new phone, or if it's just the screen then 109/129
I'm not a fan of Steve Jobs and I'm not sure if this is remotely true, but when Jobs passed, it seemed like the innovation side of the mobile industry did as well. The closest thing to 'revolutionary' was the Unbuntu Edge platform which is limited to more knowledgeable users.
Regardless of how revolutionary it was, Ubuntu Edge never made it to market.
The iPhone 6/6+ was the first Apple phone that made me reconsider going back in 3 years. Now I'm almost certain I'll get a 6S+ as I've grown tired of all the drawbacks of Android at the moment.

I was excited to hear about Apple Pay because I knew that if there was any success of NFC payments happening in the US, it would only take off once Apple implemented it. Google/Android do a real shitty job of marketing things, at least for mobile devices. My Galaxy Nexus circa 2011 had NFC too, but nobody knew what it was, let alone accepted it as payment. So it doesn't matter that Android innovated it.

I was extremely close to switching back a few months ago, and was going to take the opportunity once the 6S+ launched. Now, though, I'm pretty happy where I'm at along with Android Wear. Once the 7 rumors start up next year, I think I'll be ready to look at things from a fresh perspective.

Apple has pricing power. They learned that from Disney. As long as the consumer keeps lining up there will be more of it. People that goto Disney will buy Apple. People that goto Six Flags will buy Droid.

They probably also don't all have Verizon.

Glanced the new Apple TV items, not sure it's worth $150 especially that I have an Android phone. Other than the app store is it even worth upgrading if you had a previous Apple TV? My primary app product is my PS3 but I have a Chromecast and really long HDMI cable for my laptop or phone (MHL adapter) for my TV apps as well.

I don't plan on getting the new Apple TV, I don't use my 2nd gen model.
If i could use it with my cablebox/TiVo I'd consider it.

All I know is I've been using an aTV for years and every time wonder why there wasn't an app store. It's seems like a no brainer to me...

Even then I may not get it. I don't pay for any of those streaming services.

An official Plex solution will be greatly appreciated.
Even then, though, it's still a good bit more than a Roku 3.

I had streaming When it was included with the DVD/Blurays but I cancelled it when they split the cost because all they had were old movies, no new releases.

I don't think I'll be getting Apple TV. I already have consoles for video games and I already have way too many devices in my house that know how to stream netflix.
This is still mainly just a gateway to Apple's streaming content. If that's what you like then this is for you.

If the rumored apple music for movies/TV shows happens, only then I may consider it.
Assuming my 2nd gen isn't supported.

Use my Apple TV every day. Will definitely get the new one.
Used iPhone prices/values are probably going to go up a tiny bit.

Verizon planning more generous trade-in offer for old iPhones
Verizon Wireless (VZ), the top U.S. carrier, doesn't like to engage in price wars, but the company will be offering more generous iPhone trade-in allowances for customers buying the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
Customers will be able to apply the trade-ins, of up to $400, immediately toward the purchase of new Apple (AAPL) iPhones to reduce either the full cost or monthly installment plan payments.
All of the carriers are seeking to entice a huge wave of Apple fans expected to upgrade from earlier models when the new iPhones are available for pre-order at 3 a.m. EST on Sept. 12. And this year, Apple introduced its own installment and early upgrade plans to make it easier for customers to buy iPhones directly from the maker and skip buying from the carriers altogether. So the carriers are getting more creative competing not just with each other but also with Apple.
Verizon will pay consumers $100 for an iPhone 4 or 4S, $200 for an iPhone 5 or 5C, $300 for an iPhone 5S, $350 for an iPhone 6, and $400 for an iPhone 6 Plus. Customers with 32GB, 64GB or 128GB iPhones won't receive any more money than those trading in an entry-level 16GB model, however. The phones must be in working condition and customers must go into a Verizon store to get imemdiate credit for a trade-in.
The prices are higher than Verizon currently offers for trade-ins. For example, trading in a 16GB iPhone 4S under the current program garners only $15 in the current program. Likewise, the new plan offers more than Apple itself pays for used iPhones. Apple is currently offering $325 for a 16GB iPhone 6 and just $165 for a 5S.
Without a trade-in, Verizon will charge $650 upfront to buy a new iPhone 6S, or $27 per month for 24 months. But if a customer applied a $300 trade-in credit, the price would drop to $350 or under $15 per month.

$400 on a 2 year contract for a 6s 16GB up here. Plus you'll need a minimum $50-60 plan.

Yeah. From what I can see, 4, 5C and 5S owners will be the ones who benefit the most. Verizon giving them more than what they'd get selling through other channels, especially if the phone isn't in good or mint condition.

The new Siri function which a seems to be better than on the phone.
The new remote. Which is a meh thing. But they seemed to say it could be a universal in some capacity
To what degree are Verizon iPhones crippled/filled with bloatware? I would assume very little, though I can personally say I'll never get a Verizon Android device ever again.
