Google maps > Apple maps....Why?
One potential big area, depending on your car is that Apple maps uses turn by turn via bluetooth A2DP, where as SIRI is HFP.
If your head unit is bluetooth but does not support A2DP, you get no turn by turn over your car's speakers.
Google maps turn by turn does not use A2DP, so if you don't have A2DP, you will still get turn by turn over your car's speakers.
Why apple puts maps on A2DP, while SIRI on HFP is mind numbing.

Interesting article taking a different look at google maps and apple.
PS: Google Maps App is now front and center in the App store Maps section

Situation: Apple cannot get Google to update its maps app on iOS. It was ok, but Google refused to update it to include turn-by-turn directions or voice guidance even though Android had these features forever. Apple says, "Enough" and boots Gmaps from iOS and replaces it with an admittedly half-baked replacement. The world groans. Apple has egg on its face. Google steps up it’s game and rolls out a new, free new maps app in iOS today that is totally amazing, I’m sure to stick it in Apple’s face… Ooops.
Bottom line: Apple took one for the team (ate some ****) and fooled Google into doing exactly what Apple has been asking for years. Users win.

I doubt it... Apple would not have spent millions on developing the maps app, fired people because of it and just go through all that just to get google to make a better app. And its not that google refused to update it. Google and Apple couldnt come to terms about what they both wanted...figures. These guys will never get along
picked up two 5's yesterday for 300$ from best buy. they have some sort of unadvertised sale going on. Love it so far. big step up from my 4..

I was talking to my friend last night and she was telling me a story about how her boyfriend was tracking her using the find my friends app. Apparently you don't have to have the app installed on the phone you want to track. So while she was sleeping he sent a request to track her and then went to her phone and confirmed the request and then he could track her with Find My Friends without her knowledge.
She found out because he had made a screenshot of Find My Friends tracking her location and she found it in his camera roll.
Do what you want with this info...

That's what I thought at first be she was pretty adamant that it wasn't on her phone and I figured she was smart enough to know whether it was or not. Is it possible to install the app grant access and then uninstall it and still get access?
See if Find my friends is there. If so it's installed on her phone.

which has worked well in LA when I've needed.
