as I stated, Apple is a great innovator and then falls back. For example the ipod, they came and they conquered but what was the last time they received something new ??? and by new i dont mean just a new body design...
similarly, now their attention is moving towards TV....Apple always brings amazing innovative technology to the table...something which people have not thought off....
back to phones...Google Now will perform everything that the Siri can and perhaps more...the new Nexus has Photosphere, Inductive Charging and many other features....
Here is a little video for the new nexus line up, you can see the advancements in the screen, technology, refinement of the OS, Google Now enhancements....so i think its safe to saw that the Android has been out shorter but gone a farther distance....
....and its cheap. The new Nexus4 is $350 for a 8GB unlocked phone....no need for a contract
Siri and Maps were two areas that fell under Forstall's over sight, and any lack of progress falls on his shoulders. Along with a lot of iOS.
Now, that is broken up and has new people heading them...I think we'll see more rapid development.

there is never enough Chad....being innovative and futuristic is the only way
they can enhance sooo many things on there...whether its voice gestures or screen gestures or smarter control or have the OS/devices sync in such a way that when you go from using your phone to your ipad, you start off exactly where you had left off....sooooooo many things....
Hmm had a strange issue this morning, i use my iPhone as an alarm, when it went off this morning i looked at my screen and tried to press the snooze button, but for some reason the display was all mixed up displaying weird boxes and colors. Kind of like watching scrambled porn. So then I pressed the power button and woke it up again and things were back to normal.
Not entirely sure what I saw since I was half asleep and my glasses were not on, but I could tell something weird happened.

imagine if this were said "ohh here is a CRT TV....what more can I do with it? its the ultimate creation"

No but it seems like you're expecting the Apple TV to be holographic. And when it's not, they aren't doing what they should be.
Sure we can always advance. But the iPod is an mp3 player. I'm not real sure what you are expecting of it.

^^^ jupiter am just thinking out loud....
am just stating that technology will never stop....there will always be a new version out there...I had a desktop back in 2002 and it had 4GB harddrive...and 128MB ram...
just 10 years...1 decade and my phone has more memory....
am just saying there are soo many advancements you can make, hardware and software....Apple has been a great innovator and I have been a fan of how it changes the industry with new innovations....but i havent seen any "new" stuff from Apple in almost 2 years....
I hope sarlacc is right and Forstall messed up big coz am ready to see another innovation from Apple (just like Siri or iphone itself
)

they can have build in wifi sync into ipod classics, have a camera or something in them...as i said in ipod touch if you were browsing facebook and you put it aside and open you iphone, it should open up facebook (exactly where you left it)....so if you see a 20 minute video and you want to see it on your ipad, the transition is better....soo many things....
but i think you guys come under the "if Apple hasnt done it, it cant be done and stop thinking about new things" group....

I can't figure out how to take a damn HDR photo. I have the "HDR On" option turned on, and when I take a photo, it says "Saving HDR Photo" but then there are just two copies of what looks like the exact same photo. I know it's supposed to take three images and blend them, but it doesn't look like it's doing that. Do I have to do something else? Like take three photos in a row and then manually create an HDR image or something?

iPhone HDR feature sucks. I appears to slightly brighten the picture and thats about it. Not worth using.

It also says it will take three exposures, and I don't think my phone is doing that. Does it just suck? I feel like I've seen some pretty cool HDR photos from my friends with iPhones. But all mine do just look like they are slightly brighter, maybe slightly more colorful, that's it. Is there a different app or something that is creating these cool HDR images on the iPhone?

I've read that article--all it seems to say is to turn on the HDR feature.

Well am not sure how you can blame 1 person for everything....

Ohh and $350 for 16gb
$300 for 8gb Yes it doesnt have LTE, which is a bummer for some people who well are on verizon or sprint since you wont see the phone. But verzion screwed up their relationship with google with the galaxy nexus, so i dont see google making a phone for them unless they allow a fully "open" phone and that doesnt let verizon screw up their phone.

Its not what more they can do with the ipod right now, its how you can advance a mp3 player.... So ipod can get rebranded or keep it with a new "idea"
look at the sony walkman when it held CD's and when it held digital storage. Nothings the same and the two are completely different. Maybe the ipod can be new in some other way down the road... thing is innovation will never stop, sure it will be some time till we see some drastic change in the mp3 area...
Also I got a question i've been curious about....
hows the battery life on the iphone5 and for those that respond how often are you on lte??
this is one thing google will never get on apple... battery life haha comparing respective battery sizes. And its not that they are close even, i think google is far far off from apples battery life assuming you guys get good life??
