Updated my phone, pretty painless and nothing is messed up! Still discovering all the features... LOVED they moved bluetooth under general settings, HOWEVER they moved Location Services under Privacy
I like to turn wireless/bluetooth/Loc serv off to save battery, would have been nice if they were all by each other.

I'd preorder from Best Buy if possible, it was so painless and easy when I got my 4S. THey had my name attached to a phone there, I didn't have to wait in line or anything. Walked in, transferred my account to the new phone and was done in 20 mins.
Maps is better, loads faster and is easier to read. The one thing that does bug me is that the overall time for your trip isn't shown until you dive down into the overview. They really should have shown the overall trip time somewhere on the map where they give you the turn by turn information. Or at the least, shown you what your estimated arrival time will be.
ohh i see thats good.
I know some people were saying moving away from google maps is going backwards but i dunno if thats true for the iPhone (unless you need the transit directions)
I havent had an iPhone for a while now, but i remember when i made the switch to andorid, the maps on android could not be more different.
So i dunno if you guys have been getting regular updates like android folks have or if you have even similar features, not including the turn by turn. And turn by turn is probably a more important feature than losing some others I'd say.
I know i use turn by turn a lot, so i dont have to constantly use the phone while driving.

You have to go to submenus to enable or disable these features? One of my homepages has (in large icons) wifi, bluetooth, gps, sync, brightness, screen timeout, tips, and settings. (Stacked 4x2). You touch the icon to enable or disable.
Yeah, sadly an Android feature I wish iOS had.
The most significant update appears to be to iPhoto, which has gained over 30 new features and improvements in version 1.1, including support for the fourth- and fifth-generation iPod touch, new ink effects, and support for images of up to 36.5 megapixels on the iPhone 5 and third-generation iPad. A partial list of changes includes:
- Added support for iPod touch (4th generation and later)
- Coaching tips have been added to the Help system on the iPhone and iPod touch
- Effects now include six new Apple-designed ink effects such as Chalk and Palette Knife
- Images up to 36.5 megapixels are now supported*
- Full resolution photos can now be imported via iTunes File Sharing
- Tag albums can be created by adding custom tags to photos
- "Updating Library" alert appears less frequently
- Multiple photos can now be saved to the Camera Roll at one time
- Cropping presets now use detected faces to determine composition
- Tilt-shift and gradient effects can now be rotated

So, you want a dog biscuit or Bozo button?
So is there a legitimate reason as to why Flyover and Turn by Turn is not offered on the iPhone 4? I'm betting the 4 is more than powerful enough to run both these features but it's a classic example of planned obsolescence... Are they both features I want? Of course, but I can't have them without upgrading to a 4S or 5 even though my 4 is working fine, and in mint condition.
Apple is not winning this one. I'm holding on to my 4 until its death

They want you to buy a new phone. That is probably the primary reason, or it's to avoid people complaining about performance lag, if any exists, on the older phones running the latest and greatest.
Yea, I'm not planning on dumping my iPhone4 anytime soon. in fact, I'm thinking about signing a new contract and getting a new iPhone4 for free and turning around and selling my old iPhone4.

My thought process for getting brand new iPhone4's is that I don't think the battery's on our existing phones will hold up for another two years and we don't need Siri, or turn-by-turn navigation, although it would be nice, or the fastest processor. So why not save the money and wait till there is a substantial difference. Now on my iPad it's a different story as I use that more than I use my iPhone and I will more than likely upgrade every year.
Haven't gotten your tracking number yet??? You can track your iPhone5
Here's a great tip for those who obsess over the odd routes that shipments take and/or salivate at the thought of your iPhone 5 shipping a little early. You can track your iPhone 5 order without a tracking number. And since Apple hasn't given tracking numbers out for iPhone 5 orders yet, this is the only way to track its status.
The instructions, as discovered by GDGT, are quite simple:
Go to the UPS website
Select 'Track by Reference'
In the 'Shipment Reference' field, type in your 10-digit phone number (the one you used to buy on Apple)
That's it! It's unclear if this method works for an iPhone 5 bought at a carrier store but for those who bought the iPhone 5 at the Apple Store, you can see where that taller iPhone of yours currently is. Move faster iPhone 5! Friday can't get here fast enough

IOS6 Facebook Integration, question if I put in my account it looks like it wants to sync FB contacts into my address book, I really do not want this at all. My phone contacts are the way I want them and I don't need to add 600 fb contacts or any of their pictures. Can the Azine braintrust confirm if there is a means to disable fb contact sync when enabling fb integration? same goes of ML 10.8.2. correct answer gets an e-cookie and an autographed picture of jefford.
Any of you having problems with Passbook?
Whenever I go to the Passbook application, I get a screen that has a button at the bottom that says "App Store" and when I click it, it opens up the App Store, and it returns a connection error and I don't know what it's trying to do.
