Apple: iPhone News and Discussion Thread
My theme is a combination of a vista theme with my own windows 7 icons. It also has 24 hour rotatng weather wallpaper with live weather and clocks widgets. It's awesome and I also have all my apps seperated by categories so I don't have to scroll through tons of pages to get to an app.
Anyone know of an app that allows me to see how much memory certain apps are sucking out of my phone? My phone use to go two days before needing a recharge, now it goes one or less. I almost always let it go down to less than 5% before I recharge. I don't have many apps on it but I'd like to see... When I open sbsettings it usually says 8MB of available memory, is that normal?
Thanks for any help.

The Windoze icon. Don't get me wrong, I like it too... I just thought it was a little weird.
i hear ya. its more for a little shocking of uptight mac ffans that i know. You should have seen the look on the " genius' " face at the apple store when i showed him my iphone.
so far I haven't had safari crash on me since updating to 2.2.1. I spent a little time with it today testing it but I didn't get to try it too much this past weekend cause of the super bowl and my severe lack of free time that came along with it. But so far so good
bigman, do you know where you can find a detailed guide to do what you did? I think your phone is sweet - I especially like the weather wallpaper. I don't love the vista theme, but I am sure there are others of that type to choose from.
I just wanted to report back that I've been able to use safari a lot since the update and I haven't had a single crash yet. I've spent the last two days browsing AZ, engadget, gizmodo, dell and hp (helping my friend configure a netbook) while at work and I haven't had a single problem, it's been great. I'm very happy with it. Safari and it's excellent mobile internet was the main reason I got this phone so I'm glad that after 7 months if finally works that it was supposed to in the beginning.
I've had the iphone for exactly one month, and I finally know what all the hype was about. What a great tool to have in so many different situations. I got pissed off at the phone for a week, because almost every call I received that week, I would answer and only hear an echo of myself and not the other person. I would have to hang up and call them back. Also, for two days, I couldn't use the internet or anything else related to a network. Now it's working great, and battery life isn't a problem for me, because I a have a charger at home, in the car, and at work.
i'm guessing you made sure your settings are set to push.
Our IT guy has an iphone as well and he says his is working like it should. Not sure what software they are using, other than microsoft exchange server. They had something go down on the exchange server last week so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.
yep, everything is set to push. My contacts and calendar update fine, and the email does work, but now I get no notifications of new mail unless I go into the mail feature.
