well I mhave have some 10mp pics but it's from my Sony P+S I don't have a DSLR so the pics are grainy.

 

I'm sure you can yank some off flickr or something.

 

plus it "optimizes your photos for iPad" when it transfers them but I guess you could disable that.

this thing does make a great digital photo album, that's one of the things that peaked my interest when it was announced, the size and quality of the screen compared to other digital photo albums is head and shoulders above the rest. my pics look great on it.

 

Really? Yea hope you can disable that. I'm just curious if it scales down high MP images good

 

I want an app so I can stream videos from my PC or server

 

here's a problem, the iPad won't charge from my PC it will only sync. Apparently this is happening with almost all windows users. It won't charge from iPhone AC adapter either but I you can charge an iphone from an iPad adapter.

True... My daughters iPod touch will charge via the computer. I get a no chargé with the iPad.

 

got to love the instructions that came along... A go to www sheet and some apple stickers.

 

I'm guessing it won't charge cause of the 10w requirement which is why they made a newer power plug :shrg:

Does this thing function right out of the box or do you need a pc/mac to get it going? In other words can my old man get a 3G one and have it be his interwebs machine without the need for a pc?

The $5 apps are a killer.

 

I just fiddled with one. It's pretty nice.

 

Typing in it isn't as bad as I thought. I do like how they put those bump marks on the f and j keys like you do on a real keyboard so you can feel that you're on the home row

So as soon as I get to work today I got surrounded by people. Zomg, Daniel my iPhone died it won't turn on what do I do!?!? Zomg Daniel the side scroll on my trackpad doesn't work what do I do!?!? then zomg Daniel guess what I bought to day!?!? An iPad! How do I use it!?!? Uhhhh.....

So Monday me and the two girls at work that also bought one are going to have lunch and I'm going to teach them how to use it.

They want it to replace their computers but I'm not so sure if it can do that. We'll see. They don't even have computers to sync it to.

I also was a little disappointed that you needed to sync it to a computer in order for it to work

they can activate it for you in the store. after that i dont think you need to hook it up to itunes ever again. except for OS updates.

 

well, from what ive been reading they pretty much threw together the ipad app to get it out in time for launch, so im sure they'll fix it up with updates.

 

that was my impression, it looks just like the website.
