That's crazy, I didn't think that was possible.. I have a PM on my project that uses a Surface Pro all day, every day and I can see that because it's running Windows 10. I was even shocked he was able to run Oracle Virtualbox on there...

As much as I love Apple's products, I could not see myself running only an iPad as my primary PC though..

Yea I couldn't either.

Unless it ran the desktop version of adobe Lightroom and can run 8x 4K streams of porn at once, I'll stick to a computer

I'm not looking for the iPad pro to replace my laptop. But be more of a central hub.

I want to see what Adobe does with the LR app....or I want to see if there is an even better app, like the company that demoed their PS like app during the keynote.

Seems more PS than LR...but it looked pretty interesting.

And I'm seriously becoming disenchanted with Adobe. They still don't take full advantage of Metal and all the other Mac software features to run smoother and faster and more reliable. And their App support seems to be a joke right now. Drives me nuts.

Yeah, problem is with their organizing and archiving, they've made it hard to leave them. But I'm determined to find a way if they can't get their shit together.

Very tempted to get last years 9.7" iPad Pro. Seen a few 32GB ones go for $325-350 used.

then again I'm in no rush. Maybe I'll wait for the 10.5" to get cheeper used.

also I just picked up a 5th generation iPad (2017 iPad) 128GB for my mom. Was on sale at B&H for $379.

her 16GB Air 1 ran out of space.

Geekbench scores are significantly higher than my old iPad...

single-core = 3947 vs 329 on the 3rd gen
multi-core = 9404 vs 568

I guess I’ve gotten so used to 3D Touch and Raise to Wake on my 7 Plus.

I keep expecting the iPad to do the same and end up disappointed it doesn’t

It did a real shit job with highlight and shadow recovery...but they just realeased a major update and that’s supposedly one of the improvements.

At this point, unless I need photoshop like work...I’m stuck on LR CC.

Ohh good the bezel isn't that thin. Should still be ok to carry.

but why the rounded corners on the display? There's a reason why TVs stopped doing it
