Apple: iPad News and Discussion Thread
The Mini has been available around $299 for months now. Not officially, but anyone who paid $329 since about May or so didn't do any homework.
It's the same as the phone...yet the iPad pushes more pixels.
If I jump from the 5S to the iPad Air, same specs, will the iPad feel slower?
That's the problem.
iPad 'Pro' mid-cycle with touch sensor, wifi ac, and A7x?
Me thinks so.

I'm thinking new and larger iPad next year.

Maybe they'll hold an event in Feb. or Mar. for it like how the iPad 3 was announced in Mar. 2012.

I'm going to repeat an idea I had a long time ago... bluetooth linked iPads.
With iPads getting thinner, It would be cool to be able to set them up in a master/slave setup and give developers the APIs needed to provide multi screen support. Cases can be made to open them up like a book. Examples of uses: Book reading on one screen, note taking on another screen, or book reading on both screens (screen 1: page 1, screen 2: page 2, etc. Games could benefit from this, or even productivity apps (pages on one screen, numbers on another, etc).
I understand the market for people that want to buy two iPads and use them in this capacity may be small, but wasn't Apple all about pushing the envelope and being innovative? Or did that die with Jobs?

Checked the Apple Store website this afternoon just for fun...much to my surprise the Air was available for in-store pickup at my Apple store. Couldn't resist, bought one. Space Gray. Thing is a NICE upgrade after an iPad 2 and a mini. The weight, IMO, isn't that dramatic, but still light nonetheless.
if you got an ipad 1, target mobile will let you turn it in in exchange for a $200 gift card, in person.

^^^
Was just going to post this.
I do have a OG iPad, 64GB with ATT 3G. Very tempting.
My problem is that noen of the Target stores sell LTE iPads (specifically ATT). I need the cellular radio in my iPad for business and travel. Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this work? Seems like the $200 gift card can only be used for electronics, so maybe I could by some christmas gifts for my kids there, and buy the iPad elsewhere?
