Chromecast....Any opinions? At $35, I might have to pick up 3 of these.

Depends on what you want. You have to measure the content you watch between this and a Roku box. I've heard of You Tube Roku hacks but the phone remote usage is cool. It looks like there is a power cable connected to it though from what I'm reading. Honestly I just use my laptop and 10' long HDMI.

Yea requires a power cable. Thought it was powered by the HDMI port. But anyways.
Basically it's a device to push videos to, so you'll have to use another device to push from.
Depending on what I'm doing, I'd rather had a dedicated device. Otherwise I'll have to plug in whatever device I'm using.

And yea power comes from a/c adapter, or plug it into tv usb port.
So for the nexus 7, or just tablet users in general. Is 16gb enough or would you recommend 32??

I meant plug in as in charge. Ie say I'm at 5-10% battery.
Nexus 10 is gonna be released most likely in october/november with the nexus 4/5
Thinking of getting a Chromecast from Amazon. Still have my gift card so I might as well use it on that. I hope more apps use it in the future. Would love to be able to just push any content to any television screen with an HDMI input. I can already imagine people hacking the device to be more than a device for receiving input...For $35 its a pretty good deal.
Staples has a $30 off coupon for the Nexus 7 today. Check Slickdeals. You can probably price match it to Best Buy. So tempted to get one but my Nexus 7 is still serving me fine. Must resist temptation.
The new Nexus 7 got a pretty good review on TheVerge.

My buddy picked up a new one as well. Gonna play around with it tonight when I meet up with him. He's been holding out for a tablet for so long and I told him to wait it out until the new N7 got released.
Roots just like every other Nexus device as long as your Bootloader is already unlocked and have ADB/Fastboot drivers installed. Takes less than 5 minutes.
- Download CWM or TWRP for the Nexus 7:
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
http://teamw.in/project/twrp
- Also download SuperSU and place it at the root of the SD Card:

- Reboot to bootloader and open a command prompt on your computer with the same directory as the recovery file from above then enter the following:
- Reboot into recovery. Flash SuperSU. Reboot. Profit. Don't forget to install BusyBox if the apps you use require it.

*Note that this method works for every Nexus device. Just flash the correct recovery image. All of them use the same SuperSU file for rooting.

Did that multiple times, every time said it worked but failed root. Got tired of it.
