The Duet looks like an interesting device. I love my Transformer Infinity when it actually works. However, lately that isn't often and I find myself using my N7 2013 more often than not unless I need to do a lot of typing. I think it is finally time to put a custom rom on my Infinity now that the warranty is passed. If that doesn't work I think I will be inline for a Duet.

Goodbye.
It seems that Intel is going the dual OS route with Windows and Android for all their future products.
Will be very interesting to see the OEMs use it like Asus just showcased.

Meet Sony's in-dash cradle.
You just drop your phone on and adjust the slider to hold it in place. The dock has NFC for instant Bluetooth pairing, which is how you get audio out of the device and into your speakers. You can also do hands-free calling and charge the device over USB. Sony's Xperia phones will reportedly charge wirelessly, but that might be referring to future Sony devices with Qi built-in (details are a little fuzzy). If that's the case, other phones like the Nexus 5 might charge wirelessly too.
The XSP-N1BT comes with a little remote control and can play CDs. There is reportedly a radio too, if you're into that sort of thing. A phone can act as a control unit for all the unit's functions with a Sony remote app.
The new XSP-N1BT will be available in May for $250

Goodbye.
Smartphones are likely to get a refresh soonish.
And in case anyone was curious, the leading reliable mobile carrier service at CES is AT&T. Verizon and T-Mobile signals are struggling and Sprint is... well no one has Sprint.

Hey y'all,
Since my phone doesn't have an external sdcard slot, I have a bunch of spare microsds lying around.
I grabbed a http://www.meenova.com/ reader, and it's pretty spiffy.
stick your microsd card in, stick it into your usb slot and voila - external memory. (assuming you have USB OTG).
you won't want it on there all the time, but it'll be nice for trips or just storing backups or whatever. I have a bunch of titanium backup dumps on it, and some backups of other ROMS I was testing.

Google announced that it has entered into an agreement to buy Nest Labs for $3.2B in cash. Nest will continue to operate under the leadership of Tony Fadell and with its own distinct brand identity. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals in the US. It is expected to close in the next few months. Google CEO Larry Page said: “Nest’s founders, Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers, have built a tremendous team that we are excited to welcome into the Google family. They’re already delivering amazing products you can buy right now--thermostats that save energy and smoke/CO alarms that can help keep your family safe."

Hopefully we will start seeing google move into home automation now!
They better hurry cause samsung has quite a bit of a head start right now. Although honestly, I think samsung will do a better job just because there are lots of appliances we can buy that are samsung. So its a lot easier to have everything connected.

Well, woot.
According to Motorolla, my 2012 razrM will be getting KitKat (from 4.1.2 currently).
However, and it's a big one, no info as to whether Verizon will ever push the update.

Question about your bluetooth connections. When you guys play songs on your car radio for example, does the audio on many occasions cut off for like a split second. This happens to my Note 2 on my mom's car and in my car too.

I've wondered if it's a call coming in or some notification interrupting it.
Team Owner
Happened more frequestly than the amount of notifications I got. However, I upgraded finally to 4.3 from 4.1.2 and it seems better. I think I only had one interruption on the way to work. Liking 4.3 too except I had to find an APK for the popup browser that I loved.

Crap. I saw a really good article on how to write meaningful tech articles nowadays. I remembered you say how a lot of tech writers saturate the market with useless and redundant information. I closed my browser and forgot the article.
Yes I did man. Thanks so much for it. My wife is using her Moto X and she got the pink one with "Live. Laugh. Love" engraved in the back. Yea.....there is no reselling this, hahaha.

She didn't have a problem with the N5. But she said since we were trying to save up (and it was during holiday season) that she didn't need an "upgrade" because she felt that her GS3 is good enough. Since she doesn't use her phone at the full potential, she said she is completely fine with the GS3. The day AFTER I returned the N5 to Google she broke the screen on her GS3
I would have bought her the N5 again but the wait time was tooo long for her. She needed a phone and the GS3 was just inoperable in terms of viewing the screen. But then Justin came to my rescue and I got her the Moto X to replace.

I wonder if they're fine with slimming down their margins by quite a bit across the board.

Samsung Galaxy Phone questions...
So guys as you may remember I switched from HTC EVO 4G LTE to Mega 6.3 and have some questions.
1st- My EVO would auto correct spelling. The mega just shows correct spelling. If you hit space bar it keeps the word the way you spelled it unless you tap on the suggested word.
My buddy has GN3 and he said it auto corrects like my EVO would do it. So im thinking because his phone runs 4.3 and mine 4.2.2, it may be a fix in the newer OS.
What say you?
2nd- I got the Samsung flip case only to have the flip cover separate from the back so i bought a nicer Incipio flip case. Both have the S-view window but the when I try to answer the phone using the S-view window on the new case, the screen doesn't recognise my finger.
Any ideas on what to try?
