I have no problem talking on my Note 2 to my ear. I had a 90 minute conversation last night while comfortably holding it. Like I said the only issue with huge phones is reaching the furthest corner with your thumb without dropping the phone.

So, the Galaxy S4 does have PhotoSphere, but it is called "360 photo". But the very intriguing thing about that is you can use Samsung's eraser function to get rid of any imperfections taken in PhotoSphere like people randomly walking by etc... This would make for PhotoSpheres that don't have to be taken in a really long time just to make sure you get a perfect image and without anyone blocking the shot you want.

Oddly enough the S4 camera isn't as great as the S3 camera. Seems that the S3 still has a wider range and better quality. Odd indeed.

...so, with my N4, the push notifications are either delayed or sometimes they don't come in at all... (vs my GNex or N7), is there anything I can do about this? Mainly with Yahoo mail and Gmail

I found out that you can actually edit your Photospheres in Photoshop or any image editing app and it'll upload them just fine on G+. If you saw the spheres I put up on my G+, some of them were edited. For example, in one of them, I filled in a spot that was a black spot in the original sphere, I deleted people in the background and filled in the lines to be straight as well and I changed the contrast and color saturation a little. The only downside I saw doing this method was that when it synced to my Gallery, the spheres no longer registered. The original sphere work just fine just that something got lost in the file save I'm guessing when it synced to G+ and Picasa. With all of that said, its not as convenient as being able to do it on the phone.

I haven't used it personally but it makes sense. It pings the GTalk Service Monitor more than usual which is what's used for push notifications. I also get my e-mails first on my phone before I get them on the web client but that's by design.

Here's one I took recently. Seemed to do pretty good just one mistake. Whoever posted that video a while back about rotating around your feet, it didnt work for me like that. I had to rotate around the phone like we said previously.

Good Guy Google bought the entire Provo, Utah fiber network for $1. ONE DOLLAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With the promise to build it up fully in 5 years which might cost them about $30 million in the end, but still... That's amazing how the longing for fiber internet can lead to deals like this.

A lot of it I expected, but not the camera. I never caught that thing about someone at google saying nexus should have amazing cameras. Will be interesting as the nexus phones were never the best shooters.

I'm interested if google can keep the price down AND offer LTE. For the US market they will have to include it now I think. Especially with every carrier in the US on LTE now.

I'm still confused if the so called Google X phone will be nexus branded??

We'll see! I had a Palm Pre 2 that was heavily modified (both hardware and software) a couple years ago, that was my favorite phone. I think this one might beat it though.

Well the Pre 2 never came out for Sprint but the original Pre's comm board swaps in perfectly, just takes some delicate surgery.

In addition, Preware and just about every WebOS internals mod was installed. Heavily overclocked with a great battery manager, it was pushing 1.2 ghz and still maintaining a charge through the day. I had several touchstone chargers in the house, office and car to keep it going as well.

I'm so jealous of the people picking up the One. My Twitter and G+ feed has been nothing but HTC One pick ups the past 24 hours. Google I/O needs to come soon!

Also as a precaution, make sure your One doesn't come with defects. Lots of people talking about gaps being found on a "Zero-Gap" phone. Seems like quality control isn't that great at HTC right now. I'm guessing they were rushing to push these phones out the door. The phone should be flush all around and no overhang anywhere. If you find any of these, return it asap and get another one.

Um.......so the rumor that the next LG Flagship, the Optimus G2 will be so thin it will have its power and volume buttons on the back of the phone are really insane. My thinking is that if so, it would really be capacitive/touch style like that leaked Moto Nexus looking phone. I wonder how the public would react to a buttonless phone. Literally a black slab haha.

I think megapixel will slow down. Hardware in general will soon be reaching its plateau, its all going to be about software side soon enough.

I think has happened ever since I installed this kernel, but sometimes when I dont have a notification my LED light will still go off. Anyway of fixing that?? Annoys the crap out of me haha

being a photography enthusiasts, I know it's not about the mega pixels count, it's about the size of the sensor. High MP comes in handy if you do a lot of cropping. With camera phones, for most people the main purpose is posting stuff in social networks like Facebook or Instagram etc etc. Or if you see some obnoxious cars on the road and you want to post them in AZ's WTF Car of the day thread Nothing serious, mostly casual shit. When you post stuff on FB and Instagram, the photos are downsized anyway. So, even if you have a 13MP camera phone, it really doesn't matter because if the photo is going to be posted as is, straight from the phone, the IMAGE QUALITY won't necessarily be better. But suppose, you DO like to crop photos before posting, then that might make a difference whether it's a 5MP or 13MP.

Hopefully someday, phone makers will come to their senses and understand that it's NOT about the MP count, but the size of the sensor. If you understand about the sensors in digital cameras, and the difference between a medium format body to a full frame body to an APS-C, to micro 4/3's... you'd know what I'm talking about. Most of these smartphones don't have the room for a bigger sensor... well, I think eventually, they CAN come up with something, but for now... they'll go on marketing the whole high MP camera thing.

If anything Sony should be the first to market smartphones with bigger sensors because they are a major digital camera sensor manufacturer, they have plants making sensors for Nikon, Pentax and obviously themselves. And I believe even for Apple's iPhone. I guess it's just a matter of making room in such a thin device to house a sensor any bigger than they are now

Ohh i'm sure phone makers do know that its not about MP count. At least their engineering side, but its probably their marketing side that says you gotta up the MP count because thats what the general public thinks. We may be moving away from that soon though, seeing as the HTC One is talking about their sensor and not the MP count. If its one company that will lead the way it will be apple and well samsung will follow, but Apple is really good at getting the public to realize certain things.

I got my phone today. I absolutely love it.

Zero build quality issues. This thing is lightning fast and as I had hoped, very customizable.
