So, one of these N4 pictures is taken with HDR and the other is not. What do you guys think?

HELP......

Been looking for a solution to this, but seems I'm stuck with it unless I want to do a root canal followed by a rebuilt rectum.

That annoying chinese water torture sound on the stock dialer of version 4.1.2. Yeah, I've got it muted now, so there is no sound. I did download another dialer from the Playstore, but I don't like it using resources even after using it. I have to do a forced stop to stop it.

There's got to be some kind of way to change the key tones in the dialer without a custom ROM.

^Not possible without root. If you have root, its as easy as replacing the audio files located in "/system/media/audio/ui/". Otherwise, the only option is to mute the splash sound or using a different dialer like what you're doing now.

Do I need to USB to my computer then open some program to root the phone (G2 Skyrocket)? Or any how-to links?

I feel like I'm trying to fix an engine on a 1985 IROQ Chevy while under the hood of a 2014 Vette Z.

The general instructions for rooting Samsung phones is this (Check the bottom of my post for the download link to the files):

1) You will need a free program called, ODIN and the phone drivers so it recognizes it. Yes you will need to connect your phone to your computer while ODIN is running.
2) Flash a custom recovery .tar (TWRP or CWM) using ODIN.
3) Once you have TWRP or CWM Recovery installed, you will then flash SuperUser in that custom recovery.
4) Rooted

This video is rooting ICS but the idea is the same as above:

NOTE:
Samsung has a flash counter that will get triggered when messing with custom ROMs/recoveries. If you really need your warranty, I suggest you don't do this until you learn how to reset the counter before getting any warranty work done.

Once you're rooted, you will want to take a look at this thread to replace the sounds using any file explorer that has root access like ES File Explorer, Root Explorer, etc.:

You can even use custom sounds if you want but I believe they have to be .ogg files.

The one on the left has more detail in the more forward aspects of the pic, but the sky looks washed out. Opposite is true for the one on the right.

So, AT&T is starting a trade-in program where you can get AT LEAST $100 off a new device like the One or S4 if you trade in your old phone that is not more than 3 years old. Pretty good deal... of course the more recent the phone, the higher trade-in value. I might have to find my old phone and see if I can get a cheap One just for the hell of it hahaha.

If that upcoming Sony "Honami" phone is true, September will be a great month for awesome phones!

Also the M4 with the same camera as the HTC One in a smaller body might be a great phone for all those iPhone people complaining about giant phones. Though it would be funny if it was called the HTC Last One, Really This Time.

Seems like HTC's new marketing push is to give out more money for people to trade in their old phones if they buy the One. I can get $100 for my 2 year old phone, but only $125 for my Nexus 4. WTF?!

Still not as bad as the HTC DROID DNA though. Guess they are pushing to get people from iphone5s... $375. Though I would rather just craigslist/ebay that iphone5 for $800.

I think the main interest for people are the One's look and the S4's features. Depending on which one wins over a person, they will most likely choose that respective phone. Prob take advantage of AT&T's trade in offer.... minimum $100 off is always nice

what phone is it? The trade in value varies with phones, but minimum $100 for a less than 3 year old phone is not bad.

If you do it through the HTC promo, you get $140. But you could def get more from craigslist. Some people just don't like the hassle, or don't trust internet people lol.

Obviously the front facing ones are all in a case, but the rear is the actual phone according to sources. 32gb storage, 2 gigs ram, 720p screen. On a 4.3 or even 4.5 inch screen, the 720p should look outstanding. Looks to be exactly like the one leaked from Thailand a while ago. Same size as an iphone. Would be interesting to see if non Android people will buy a phone of this more pocketable size.

Amazon Wireless is selling the silver 32 GB for $160. I have a $100 gift card for Amazon so I'm just waiting. Also the $100 trade-in via HTC has been extended probably because the Black version got delayed.

Ya know, with all the delays, build quality issues, and insensitive capacitive buttons on the One, things aren't looking good for them. There's only so much the low-light camera feature can do. They really should also include a manual/tutorial/video about Zoe. Samsung did it with all their million hand waving features when you first set up the phone.

Held a S4. Reminds me of the iPhone 4 with the aluminum around the edges squaring it up. It felt great and the colors popped more than my Note 2. Couldn't really tell the difference in screensize from the S3.
