These are only game 1s!

With Rose out, John Lucas the Third (string) better step up big time.

You can thank the refs and LeVlade for that!

All jokes aside, I don't see the Knicks winning that series. Losing Shumpert (the only Knick that cant actually play defense) was pretty much the last straw.

Although rumor has it that Jeremy Lin is looking to come back Game 4. Linsanity will rise again!

Howard out, Rose out, Celtics getting old (and stupid). Is there anyone left to challenge the Heat over there?

Nope.

If Chicago makes it to the Conference Finals, they'll give the LeHeat a run for their money but I don't see the Bulls winning 4 games against them in a playoff series without Rose.

I missed another heartbreaker:

- Caron Butler suffers a broken hand; will be out for remainder of playoffs

And an update, Rajon Rondo is suspended one game. FML, I really hope Boston can survive without him.

NYK-MIA...

My impression is that while the game is close, the NYKs are overacheiving to keep it close.

Not impressed with MIA's game though. If you get a steady team that can withstand their pressure d, you don't get as many turnovers and less chance for runouts or the chaos that they can take advantage of with their speed.

However, I don't know if that steady team exists at this point. Everyone else looks SLOW...

^^I was more impressed with the second half. The fact that they have several small forward vets that are about the same size really helps them switch when needed. I think in one sequence, Battier and Miller were able to switch and do a reasonable job on Melo. No matter what screen was set, someone was waiting on the other side of it.

This was all in addition to Lebron chillin on the bench after going head to head with Melo.

LeHeat haters already giving these excuse about this year is meanless.. blah blah.

This is one reason why I think Heat has good chance of winning multiple championship.

East is looking real weak...

Mav vs. OKC probably one of the most exciting series out of all.

I give Mav huge credit for stepping it up big, but came short in both of the games. I can see this series going to at least game 6.

I hope so. I'm ready to buy tickets to Game 6 to support my team. Wish I could go to one of these next 2, but gf & I will be out of town for Game 3 & 4 (in OKC of all places!). We absolutely must win them, though.

Ya, you can already see the asterisk peeps are putting on this season and slew of excuses. FWIW, I don't believe that. Winning a championship is always a mix of many things, luck and staying injury free are 2 of those things. If the Heat win, more power to 'em.

I hope so because it's most fun series... I don't want to be over so quickly.
Barkey is saying that Mav will win at least one game, but I think Mav could win at least two games.

Great ending to the Mavs/OKC game. I cringed when Dirk and Terry threw up those last minute shows.

Carmelo went nuts and dunked on Joel Anthony pretty nastily. I can't believe Amare knocked himself out of the series.

Well, Amare did that on purpose. That way, he can say his absence was what cost the Knicks their inevitable sweep by the LeHeat.
