I penalize for batting average. Dunn and Granderson's were way to low for me.

Was lucky enough to watch Cain's perfect game from the 7th inning on. Was about to go to bed but checked ESPN before I did and they were showing it live

Also think it's amazing how a guy like R.A. Dickey can finally get it together and dominate after floating around for years having little success. Good for him

Considering Dunn's average last year, this year's is like a second-coming of Tony Gwynn for him.

I'm really happy for him. He climbed Mt.Kilamanjaro for sex-traffic awareness in India. Then he released his autobiography. All in all he also choked a Yankee fan as well..

lol!

I was driving to a customer in upstate NY on Tuesday and WFAN has Boomer & Carton in the morning. They had me rolling. They were talking about how Dickey credits Orel Hershiser as one of the guys that encouraged him to take up the knuckle ball.

Well....put together Orel and Dickey and you get the picture. 5 minutes of none stop laughter.

Kidding aside....I think the METS should try to wrap him up as well. He is signed through next season. I say give him a $26-28 Million for 4 years extension. That would mean that they would control 3 out of their 5 starters for more than 4 years and at a low rate compared to the rest of the division.

I think I heard that METS attendance is actually up a bit. They need to resign Wright. In 2 years they will have Santana and Bay off the books. I like that they have a lot of home grown guys playing for them these days.

It really sucks about the Madoff thing because they would've re-signed Wright with the quickness. They have a nice young team. At least I have Wright on my team.

They really got lucky on the Madoff thing. The amount of money they have to repay is about $160 million over a couple years. And I want to say that they got about $240 million from minority owners. They also cut about $55 million in salary.

What is really hurting them is attendance. They started the year with lower attendance but I believe that they say it has gone up recently. Keep in mind that the attendance in 2008 was over 4 million and last year it was about 2.3 million. That's a lot of money.

I was at the game on Tuesday night against Baltimore. I have to say it was pretty full; perhaps 2/3rds full at Citifield. Of course, that was Johan starting and t-shirt night as well lol..

I know the Reds were interested, and I've heard Youk was too since he's from here and went to college at UC, but I think they were asking too much, plus Scott Rolen came back. But they need to do something eventually.

On an unrelated note, it was good to see Sean Casey inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame this weekend. One of the nicest guys to ever play the game. He did some broadcasting last year of Reds games and considering I watch or listen to pretty much every game I wish they'd hire him full time. Seems like a natural for the job.

I've never seen a pitcher apologize to a batter for almost hitting them. I know they were joking but it was still funny

It happens. His final decision was the same as Sabathia. He just gets paid a boat load less and still has a record of 11-1. Although his ERA did go up 0.31 points to 2.31. He really sucks.

All the years dealing with Wakefield, the Yankees are the 1 team I would expect to be able to handle him.
Great pitcher yes. Just nice to see all the "fans' eat their words.

Oh btw I see bigmouth francisco is on the DL now......let him open his mouth again

Francisco is an ass. My heart raced every time the Collins brought him in. I really hope that Parnell gets a chance to close some games.

Inside story is he was unhappy with management & wanted out.
He was moved to 3B last year & was never happy there.
then they got Will Middlebrook & wanted to split the playing time & since papi is the DH he would have not played much.
Then again the new redsox management could spin anything.

I wouldn't play for Bobby Valentin either. Fuck that idiot, have hated him since he was with the Mets. Also would hate to play in Boston. Same ol' bs had to be getting old for him.

Francisco is dumbass yes, but Byrdak is a funny genius with Little Jerry! haha! http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/cutfour/...78092&c_id=nym

"Well, that's just like, you're opinion maaaaaan."

On the flip side, I love Bobby V and his antics. I thought he was a great manager with the Mets and a lot of Mets fans will agree he was fantastic here in NY. I'd take him over Terry Collins in a heartbeat to manage my team.

Not sure what Ryan Vogelsong's problem was today. The pitch he got all mad at was barely inside. What a douche

Arroyo is too much of a to fight him but if tried that with somebody like Mat Latos he woulda got pounded. Anyways, couldn't believe what I saw to end the game.
