^they're playing decent ball and Larry(yah im a Mets fan) is on his way back...i never count them out no matter how much i hate the Braves. All of those years you guys beat up on us, i will never forget the house of horrors aka Turner field. :P

...where is Beltran going?? I can't believe Sandy Alderson actually contemplated trading Carlos to the Yankees. We never(rarely) do any business with the cross town folks. I hope he continues that streak because i hate seeing US helping THEM.

The record we have is due to our pitching, and with the way we're abusing our pen I don't know if it will last. There's two guys on this team that are hitting - McCann and Freeman - and everyone else is dead weight. Uggla looks like he's finally turning things around, but Gonzo, Shaefer, MclOUTh and Heyward are bums right now. Prado is going to take a few weeks to get his legs back underneath.

We've gotta start hitting consistently if there's any chance. We get down by four runs, turn out the lights.

The Phillies and Red Sox were described as the most aggressive pursuers, a person involved in the talks told The Post. That confirmed what Foxsports.com first reported.

The Phillies appear to be at least an early favorite in the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes that's drawn interest from as many 10 teams.

Stick a fork into the Cubs for the next decade. They are screwed...the one player everyone would like won't waive his no-trade and the other one player that is willing to go away, nobody is stupid enough to trade for.

We might actually get a decent prospect in return for Beltran, depending on how much of his salary we are willing to pay. He may be the best hitter available on the trade market.

I don't care if they trade him to the Skankees as long as they get some good prospects in return. We have traded cross town before. Hell, we have even made traded with the Phillies mid season.

http://nybaseballdigest.com/?p=33246

Personally I think they will end up with 2, maybe 3 prospects for him with one of those being legit.

All they care about is their kids inheritance. The fans mean nothing.

good link.

It's funny that the fans gave Beltran a standing ovation at his last bat at Citifield. I remember us(the fans) booed him for about a year and a half before he started to produce. He's a great player just too over-sensitive. I don't blame him, he's a Taurus, lol. But overall, i hope he we get something decent in return. I'll miss him.

I just wish he swung at Wainwrights 3-2 curveball in 2006.

good to see Wright back in the lineup.

C'mon Buccos! get on a winning streak and overtake the NL Central!!

how amazing would it be if the Indians and the Pirates make the world series and the big market teams fail to advance? I'd love to see different teams in the world series.

and ugh. Gabby Sanchez of the Marlins is our new Chipper Jones. (i mean as a Mets fan)

Brewers take the NL central. Or at least get in the post-season as a wild card. 100.

Apparently this was announced about 10 minutes before game time, so a few innings go by and they flash it on the big screen that he was traded and that Alonso had been called up from AAA. The place went quiet for a while after that.

Lots of people sad to see him go since he was a fan favorite, but he just wasn't producing and hopefully a change of scenery will help him. He was my nephew's favorite player but he's young enough that he doesn't understand.

Wedge told his team after a 10-3 loss Monday night to stay away from the ballpark early, moving back the bus until 4 p.m. for a start 3 hours later and canceled batting practice.
Not long after the Mariners get 1-hit by Sabathia while striking out 18 times. I thought this was funny...maybe I'm just cold-hearted

Ervin Santana pitches 3rd no-hitter of 2011

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Ervin Santana pitched the first no-hitter for the Angels in nearly 27 years, striking out 10 and leading Los Angeles over the Cleveland Indians 3-1 Wednesday.

Santana allowed only two runners - there was an error on the leadoff batter in the first inning and a walk in the eighth.

Santana was in control the whole way while throwing the Angels' first no-hitter since Mike Witt pitched a perfect game on Sept. 30, 1984.

What La Russa wants gone he makes go away. I never liked Rasmus either so glad to see him go to the AL
