Well, thanks for attempting to bring winning ways to the Cubs, Lou...you now know there is truly a curse.

^ if that was in MLB, there would have been fan interference.

funny that it was the same exact pitcher and teams, but different OF'er.

Vin Scully is coming back for another year, 62nd season broadcasting and counting. As a Dodger fan, I dread the day that I have to watch a home game and not hear Vin's voice. Its gonna be like when Chick Hearn died, it'll never be the same.

Went through that when Harry Kalas died last year.

Enjoy Vin while you can.

Haha now Rich Harden almost no hits the Twins who almost had a no no. He'd have to throw like 150 pitches to do it.

I don't like the Yankees. Never will.

But, I can and do respect them when the circumstances call for it. And in this situation, it certainly demands it.

I saw the game she was at on TV and wondered why they were so cool to her.

You have to applaud when it is warranted.

Bravo!

Very cool story. But don't hate on ARod for charity. That dude has donated time and money like crazy. He's roided out when it comes to giving.

The only way he gets people to like him is to pay them.

+1 on Votto MVP. The kid is good.
He's put together 3 solid seasons now...and he only makes $500K. Whether the Reds extend him or he goes to arbitration, he's gonna get rich this off-season.

An MVP carries a team and that's exactly what he's done all year

His defense at first has improved a lot also. He can play other spots on the field too...wonder which he prefers since we have a pretty good former first round pick that plays first rising through the minors (Yonder Alonso).

We ain't out of the wild card yet. With the series win in NY we have a slight chance. What's up with the Mets? Are they going to get hot in September again? Is Omar outta there if they miss the playoffs?

Looks like Strasburg will likely need Tommy John and miss both the rest of this season and maybe all of next. That sucks big time for the Nats and him. I feel bad for the kid, but this always seems to happen to the really hard throwers these days.

Perhaps Harper and Strasburg will be on the roster again for 2012. Nationals =

They shouldn't have brought him back after the first injury. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of the end for him. He was fun to watch. A lot of pitchers have come back stronger after TJ surgery.

BTW, the Rays will sign Brad Hawpe

Hopefully by then, they'll be in competition for the NL east title. You never know...

Yes I agree.
Because of his age, he'll have many many years of pitching ahead of him and 12-15 months rehab is a good break for his new career.

Brad Hawpe from All Star to released now about to help win the AL east. Tight race with the Yankees no doubt.

Hoping Oakland pulls something off this season. Doubt it. But it would be nice.
