Great, great, great game though. Lived up to the billing...Countless heart-stopping moments.

What fight in the Hawks to come back from 2 down against such a game Bruins team. I'm sure you won't blame that on "injuries", right?
Not blaming it on injuries but the lack of a first line winger and Claude shortening the bench on top of it certainly didn't move the odds in the B's favor. In a 110+ minute hockey game a shortened bench isn't going to help you.

If I had to blame anyone, it would be myself for leaving my "Jagrmeister" shirt back east. I'm a disappointment to the entire organization.

was cool to see the goals actually being scored, a lot different than watching it happen on FB and twitter.

Chicago does need more sports action.

srika, the Winter Classic is when the Blackhawks take on the Bears at Soldier Field. Quite a cool event.

methinks The Crosbies are going to choke on that contract.
$9.5M/year until he's 35?
Now who do they offer up for trades/let walk......tick-tock

Wow, going down in Flames in the playoffs in Pittsburgh really seems to pay off for all involved. What's next, 10 year extension for Shero?

What The Crosbies really need is to trade away D assets.

Really!

Well, the if anything, the Pens have a very good pipeline for D prospects. I think if Shero can fix their prep-work for the playoffs and ability to play against tighter defenses...they should be fine.

We won't be able to afford to keep Letang long-term with this Malkin deal, but hey, "gotta keep the core together"

I would consider Letang core and be more inclined to trade Fleury. I can't believe Bylsma said he's got the job next year.

I don't question Fleury's talent but I think he needs a change of scenery!

Hey guys, courtesy of my pals at the NSA, I've hacked into the Toronto feed and will be directing replay calls from the Buffalo Wild Wings trailer.

Feel free to lob some more dineros into my paypal account and will do my best to send the next game to triple OT again.

Moog, what's with the aquabats avatar? It kinda makes me want to put on my "anti negativity" helmet and go to a pool party with all the cool kids at my school.

Horton is listed as day to day so he either has an "upper body injury" or a "lower body injury".

Rumor has it he's been spotted carrying a bottle of dirty water so everything should be ok

I consider Letang as core too, but it's looking harder and harder to sign him and give him the money he's due since locking up all the big money in Sid and Geno I don't even know what to think about our name-brand goalie

Clearly, Waldorf will never agree...but, you can see that with a sound system, any average NHL goalie can potentially go all the way.

I won't even argue that Crawford is top-tier. But, he can be counted on to make the occasional key save (not steal a game)...good enough. You don't need a Vezina finalist. So, if the Pens can fix their system and with that core, you have a great shot.

I'm here to weed out the "negativity", and to bring sanity to the double-zero odds on having a average goaltender to win The Cup nonsense.

....but not even the mighty Aquabats can fix that kind of nonsense

Heehee...and here are the Hawks...3 wins away from winning it again with an average goalie. System works for my fave team...and that's all I care about.

And Crawford and even Niemi are not future HoFers. But, the team in front sure is deep up front and on D.

This formula worked for Osgood too.

So, still working obviously since Chicago is playing in the Cup Final. Depends on how the GM constructs the team. What's your point...?

What's easier: finding a true HoF goalie type or building a well-structured team play and deep roster?

I'll take the latter.

But, keep going, Waldorf. I'm here all year.

Ok, now even I'm getting annoyed at the goalie stuff.

Can we all just agree that James Reimer had no business surrendering 3 goals in under 10 minutes in game7 and is thus by definition, a no-name or not elite?

You want to chalk that choke-job up as overall team play or is it all Reimer's fault...?

Cuz, dom...perspective here: According to Waldorf, the Kings lost because of injuries and Quick's soft goals I accused him of, were not soft goals.

So, his godly goalie is NOT AT ALL at fault for their 4-1 ouster to the Hawks. None whatsoever.

Remember kids, Yummy is right, NHL GM's are wrong.

It's best to find an average goaltender, your odds are better with him than with a great goaltender.

Tim Thomas and Johnathan Quick were scrubs.

....keep selling the madness.....we all know you are here all year long.

Place your bets, bet the double-zero, it does come up from time to time.
