I don't see how the yotes franchise is going to survive in Phoenix.

Piss poor fanbase, add to that they will now tax businesses to keep a franchise
that really nobody is interested in?!?!?

This team should be moved, or retracted.

Oh the humanity...............!!!!

So sorry for your loss, Statler.

Jamie Kompon....oof!
You know something is seriously wrong when after you win The Stanley Cup, the head coach gives an assistant coach the walking papers.....that is exactly what happened to Jamie Kompon.

Kings fans have been calling for his head for years! Why? He was in charge of the Power Play....one of the worst in the league for years.....and with all that talent at his disposal, Kompon could do nothing with it.

I feel so bad for the Hawks power play, if Kompon is put in charge of it.

Yup, vice-coach...apparently, the success he had with Coach Q in St. Louis is the thing.

But yeah, I'm worried. With all that talent, Chicago had a putrid PP last year which desperately needs to be fixed. So, what do they do? Hire a coach the Kings don't want after winning the Cup and has a terrible record running the PP.

Wow.

...maybe Coach Q is magical and Kompon will get his groove back

I wouldn't put money on it.

^^ I got them all on the DVR....

but Kings TV play by play guys Bob Miller and Jim Fox called games 4, 5, & 6...even thought they were not broadcasted (due to NBC rights in the US market).

Kings are supposedly going to release those games on disc with their call rather than "Doc" (I love the Devils) Emrick doing the play by play.

They are good under the current CBA.....hence why everyone wants to get under a contract now....before the New CBA kills stuff like this.

I don't follow sites that base their news off of twitter tweets and bs 3rd parties, I'd never even been to that site till posted that link. Then I noticed that the ONLY source being referenced was the same idiot saying for 4 days that Parise was a done deal in Pittsburgh

That much I know, I'm just wondering if the league will try and go after the long luongo type contracts with the new CBA

Rags trade for Nash

The Columbus Blue Jackets are in the process of trading Rick Nash to the New York Rangers, according to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger. Forward Brandon Dubinsky, defenceman Tim Erixon and a first-round pick are believed to be going to Columbus as part of the package.

In 82 games with the Blue Jackets last season, Nash scored 30 goals and 29 assists.

Selected first overall by Columbus at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Nash has spent his entire career with the Blue Jackets.

Nash has played in five NHL All-Star Games and earned a share of the 2003-04 “Rocket” Richard Trophy. He has eclipsed the 30-goal plateau six times in his NHL career.

He was named captain of the Blue Jackets in 2008 and holds the franchise records for goals, assists and games played. He has scored 289 goals and 258 assists in 674 career NHL games.

One of the league's elite power-forwards, Nash has also represented Canada internationally on numerous occasions. He has competed in two Olympic games, winning a gold medal in 2010. He has also competed in four World Championships, winning gold in 2007 and two silvers in 2005 and 2008 respectively.

Nash is going into the third year of an eight-year contract he signed with the Jackets in 2010 worth an average annual value of $7.8 million.

wow, I did not expect them to trade Dubinsky, but I guess that's what they had to give up to make the deal

I liked both of them, but compared to what they were demanding this is cheap. Dubinski had great promise, but he never really played like he can for us. I am sure he will go on to be a 1000 point a year guy like always happens.

After months of speculation, the Columbus Blue Jackets have finally parted ways with Rick Nash, trading the winger to the New York Rangers in a multi-player deal that has centres Artem Anisimov and Brandon Dubinsky, defenceman Tim Erixon and a first-round pick in 2013 going to Columbus.

The trade also has the Blue Jackets sending minor-league defenceman Steve Delisle and a conditional third-round pick going to the Rangers.

In 82 games with the Blue Jackets last season, Nash scored 30 goals and 29 assists.

Selected first overall by Columbus at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, Nash has spent his entire career with the Blue Jackets.

Whoa.

Big trade. Not sure if Columbus gets back sufficient firepower in Anisimov and Dubinsky. But, those are 2 solid players...just neither are 1st line material So, not sure if I like what the Jackets are getting in return.

I really like seeing Nash on a line with Richards and Gaborik though. Nice pick for the Rangers.
