Still "cleaner" that 99.9% of the crap Burrows does on the ice.

I'm surprised Richards didn't also target the other Sackless Sister: Bieksa.

Ouch, that was a low blow and totally uncalled for.

You're totally disinvited to my suite at the Winter Classic now, but if you promise to ban Yummy cakes for a day, perhaps I can swing some invites to the Griffins/Marlies game downtown.

Gave away my tickets to Sundays game to be up in your neck of the woods for a Portugese baptism this weekend (apparently these things are a big deal).

cheapshot and a dangerous one at that.

If Shanaban wasn't a former Wing, it would be a one game suspension fo shizzle. Weber will probably get off with a light fine at worst.

Fawkin Radulov taking out Helm for the remainder of the playoffs.

If only I could, I'd ban the Yumchah for nothing.....

Its similar to marrying into an Italian family, except with less cooler dream cars.

I'm godfather to my best friends first daughter, so gotta go. Suppose its slightly more important than missing a playoff game. Barely.

Wow, not sure if I agree with the Shanafine on Weber. But, whatever. I don't get how the numbers/bans are computed anymore.

From Hackel...

This was another chance for Brendan Shanahan to make a break from the past, to handle player discipline differently than his predecessor. But the whispers around the league dating back to the fall, that Shanahan had been intimidated by the league’s old guard of GMs after they disapproved of his initial gutsy suspensions, seem true. His rulings look increasingly like those of Colin Campbell, and the Department of Player Safety will probably function this spring just as Hockey Operations did in previous playoffs.

Well, I think Hackel's got alot of cred and if his comments about how the GMs are basically preventing Shanny from doing his job, well, what do we have here: a basic demonstration by the FRANCHISES that they don't give a flying fawk about concussions.

Disgraceful. No wonder the NHL, despite being one of the best games to watch, is such a joke.

And after having watched the replay of Weber's headlock of Zetterberg and then plastering of the guy face-first into the glass, I don't at all understand the logic behind only a fine.

This smells worse than collusion.

You tell me. Keith got 5 games and yet, Doan got 3 and the latter is a repeat offender and his hit was just as bad.

Maybe, just maybe, after this series is over, Waldorf...you'll have the same level of dislike of the Cansucks as I do.

Burrows, Lapierre are also adept at diving. They should compete in the Summer Olympics.

Have I been my usual over-the-top concerning the Cansucks? Don't think so.

I think that's usually reserved for the Pink Things...

I thought he did a fine job at the start. But, as it seems, and based on what Hackel wrote, the teams aren't cooperating and his hands are tied now.

^^ It was always going to be like this.

He cut himself off at the knees with his preseason suspension madness.
He left himself no way out.

Management and the old guard got pissed....but you could see this coming a mile away.

Calgary begins to clean house:

The Calgary Flames announced that Brent Sutter and the organization have reached a mutual agreement to conclude coaching duties. In addition, the contract of assistant coach Dave Lowry will not be renewed.

Yeah, except the flaw in their plan is that there won't be a full-scale rebuild. They will again, apparently, just "add pieces"...
