Kinda feel bad for Moog right now...... Although the Kings should have won if it weren't for Michalek with several saves.

Isn't this supposed to be one of the weakest drafts in years. 1st round pick with Crosby in the draft is worth a hell of a lot more than a 1st round pick when Joe Schmoe is projected to be the top pick.

Plus Carrie will be attending all the home games .. I think the trade was more
to put Carrie in the Bridgestone Arena than Mike...

Actually, I liked Fisher but its a good business deal for the Sens - frees up a
load of cap space, plus he's been injured a lot lately.

Let the rebuilding continue.

Hey dom, Jonesi .. you guys want promising young goalie? I'm sure the Sens
could be persuaded to part with LeClaire .. its a great deal, the guy is well
rested .. hasn't hardly played at all the past few seasons ...

I think the Isles took the loss to the Penguins pretty personal. Looked to me like they were making a statement.

Pens took the lead from the B's in the race for the most fighting majors.

3rd Period Johnson got into it a little bit again. Godard came off the bench to help him out.

Pens Decide to Practice in Central Park, NY

Pens Decide to Practiced in Central Park, NY this morning. Pretty cool idea to keep things fresh and mix it up. Bylsma...!! Guess there was an accident and the buses couldn't get through half way there so the team had to take Taxis

What to do? Haley was a beast in that game. Never heard of him before but looks like he was called up for the game. His 3rd game ever in Isles uniform and first this season. 196 PIM in Bridgeport last season, I think we all know why he was called up and he did his job. Godard did the right thing it's what he gets paid to do. The Pens can afford to be without him for 10 games.

Trainer lookin at him like dood WTF

The Islanders took the cheap hit in the game with the Pens 9 days ago and this was payback.

At the end of the game it was pretty hilarious, there were only 2 players left on the Pens bench and 4 on the Islanders.
The coaches and training staff outnumbered the players.

I surely wouldn't go as far as Errey with the "how much cleaner can the check come," def caught hit from the side and off guard.

NHL sites Gillies and Martin as deliberate attempts to injury. The NHL says that the Islanders bear the responsibility for not controlling their players. All these rulings come down on a Saturday night too.

That was a pretty weak game for the B's. For whatever reason they haven't played well in front of Tuukka this year and he had a pretty crappy game himself.

I think you'll see a different team today.

Lemieux Speaks

Lemieux:
“Hockey is a tough, physical game, and it always should be. But what happened Friday night on Long Island wasn’t hockey. It was a travesty. It was painful to watch the game I love turn into a sideshow like that.

“The NHL had a chance to send a clear and strong message that those kinds of actions are unacceptable and embarrassing to the sport. It failed.

“We, as a league, must do a better job of protecting the integrity of the game and the safety of our players. We must make it clear that those kinds of actions will not be tolerated and will be met with meaningful disciplinary action.

“If the events relating to Friday night reflect the state of the league, I need to re-think whether I want to be a part of it.”

Not sure it carries the same weight two days later and after the Isles get the fines and suspensions. Pens seemed to get off easy.
