I just watched the hat trick highlights. He was just toying around with Toronto
There seems to be very few teams who could pull off a trade for him. If I'm a Chi fan it would be tough not to get anything for him while you can, especially during a rebuild
Domi seems to be another target for some teams

You have to wonder. The issue here is if you look at any Cup-winning roster, they have one thing the Oil do not: a Norris-caliber D-man patrolling the blueline. Nurse is at best, a 2nd pairing guy who they are paying top pairing $$$ for.
They keep trying to fix goaltending which is not the issue. I'm no GM but I'd trade Drysightoe to a team like (for example) Buffalo to see if it'll yield Dahlin or Power.

Not a big hockey guy but went to two Panther games this year. First one against the Bruins which felt like an away game. In that one, the Panthers tied up with like 7 seconds left in regulation and won in the first minute in OT. Yesterday's game they sucked against the Ducks even though they outshot them by double. Once again, they came back in the 3rd and won in OT. The rats still live

Dunno. Hard to say. But, it would not shock me either he just leaves too. I can see teams throwing the bank at him if he becomes UFA.

I know nothing about cap space but here is part of an article in the Athletic:
The Blackhawks would need to retain 50 percent and a third team would be needed to retain another half of the remaining half to get it down to a manageable $2.625-million. Then, the Rangers would have to ship out Vitali Kravtsov ($875,000) and Jake Leschyshyn ($766,667), which gets them to around $2.4-million in cap space now. If the Rangers wait until March 3, deadline day, they might get there for the whole $2.625-million. Barely.
How would it work?
The Rangers currently could add about $748,000 in contracts, which is to say they can’t add anything right now without subtracting from the roster. If the Rangers added Kane, it would have to be at a drastically reduced cap hit from the $10.5-million hit he carries. The Blackhawks would need to retain 50 percent and a third team would be needed to retain another half of the remaining half to get it down to a manageable $2.625-million. I'm biased but Kane would instantly help a contending team...his record shows he does not pull a disappearing act in the playoffs like some stars and pretty clutch.
With all the smoke at the NYR or Leafs, the past also tells us a 3rd secret team is going to pounce and he joins them instead. I dunno, Pens, Tampa, and Denver...they sorta come to my mind as the ninja teams. Can you imagine 88 with Sid, Nate, or Stamkos?
And I think there is no way 88 is waiving his NMC for Edmonton...even if that's playing with McJesus.

Yup, you're going to get a great one. Him with Breadman the Sequel is going to be just as good this time round. Still not a fan of your Captain's antics or penchant to taking the heads off of opposing players but Rangers just went all-in and it'll be interesting to see this 3-way fight between Boston, NY, and the Bolts...will be fun to watch.

This is like the first time in a reallll long time that there is no Kane, Toews in the line-up. As a Hawks fan, it's tough to take in...but, I have to think fondly of all the glory they brought the Hawks too.

So Doughty says he did not say anything, Miller says it was an accident. How do you accidentally hock up a gigantic loogie?
I'm a Ranger & Miller fan (have his jersey) but no, I don't buy that bs.

This is the first time that all the smoke actually accounted to something I think.
Timo Meier is a Devil. Talk about an arms race in the East. Yikes.

Rutherford was a good cap manager, Hextall made horrible signings and contract extensions to players he should not have and now we're in bad shape
How does that feel for you? A hated player from a hated rival...the GM for the Pens? That's almost like if Kris Draper became the Hawks GM or something.

It's not a good feeling, and one of many reasons why I finally punted my season tickets. Seeing what he did to the Flyers and how they never could contend, it's been more of the same here. And he's wasting the later years of Crosby's career which REALLY pisses me off

I mean, at least the Pens are still competitive. I think Pittsburgh has an issue a bit like Chicago in integrating the new blood with the stars...but, at least you guys did it properly. Hawks are done with Kane likely gone by tonight.

Oh yikes...didn't know it was like that for you with Hextall in place.
