Congratulations TB

Bolts are back to the Final. Rangers were impressive and have nothing to feel bad about given the steps they've taken.
The hit on Hedman in this game is ehh...maybe something for the League to look at?
Anyways, onto the Avs vs. Bolts final...which will be probably insanity. I am going to pick the Nordiques in 6.

Trouba with another headshot in game 6, glad to see the cheapshot artist sent to the golf course. Karma finally caught up to them. I think the Avs will decimate the Bolts. Avs in 6

Rangers did not lose 4 in a row all season (until the ECF Finals)
On the bright side, I can now enjoy the games not caring who wins.

Yes, they first said that, because like you they are on the he's a baaaad guy train, THEN @:34 they say shoulder tucked in elbow down, HIT'S FINE, it's INTERFERENCE (NOT CALLED) but you go ahead & see what you want.
Really man, stop.
How about you Yumcha, am I wrong?

I just hate predatory headshots, I don't feel like it belongs in the game. I agree that the hit on Perry was interference, but it was borderline and fits the pattern of high hits to the head. I took crap for years on here for having Matt Cooke on my team, and he cleaned up his act and changed the way he played, same with Kadri. I just wish Trouba would stop trying to take peoples' heads off, so sue me. In this playoffs alone, he elbowed Crosby and Guentzel in the back of the head, knocked Seth Jarvis out, put a really dirty hit on Domi, and continued elbowing and targeting the head in the ECF. It's dirty play and I don't like it, so I'm not sad to see your Rangers lose. He's not Tom Wilson, but he certainly has a pattern of headshots. This video summed up my issues pretty well, although they don't show the Domi hit, or the hits on Khaira and Kyrou, crap there's even more examples I'm not listing but I can go on. Regardless it's a pattern, and the slow motion of his elbow flying at Palat's head is scary to watch, thankfully he didn't make contact or who knows how bad it would have been.

You brought up this hit:
Now as you see you were wrong, instead of just saying so, you bring up a dozen others, NONE called and one missed.
Just stop, you don't like him, you have said so it's ok, I bet you would love to have him on your team. We are out, we beat your team get over it.

lol, I said just another example. Whatever, I've said my peace, and don't have to watch him hit anyone else in the head in these playoffs, and keep shrugging off the flying elbow at Palat's head, that right there shows my issue with this guy. The end

Trouba's hit is "clean" by definition as it's shoulder on shoulder.
But, he's a predatory player who has a pattern of trying to destroy the other person he's trying to lay the hit on. Clean or not...by NHL hitting standards. I have said I'm not a fan of his playing style as you can be hardnosed without the intent of murdering the other player (clean or not by NHL standards). Like, if say the guy's head is down (oops), he does not slow down...it's like, OH GOODIE...anyways, that's just me.
The Rangers were successful not because of his style of play, that's for sure.

Shoulder to shoulder but makes contact with the head. It wasn't as egregious as his other hits, just another example on top of the dozen other elbows and blows to the head that he doled out during the playoffs. Whatever, I'm glad he's done

I am different though I miss the game from the 90s. So excited for the upcoming 2 hour E60 special on ESPN about the Colorado/Detroit rivalry.

You have your head down you should expect to get blown up. I think that needs to stay part of the game. Laying big hits to the chest or shoulder I have no problem with. The rule is the initial contact point. It is almost impossible unless two players are the same height to lay a hit in those areas and not at least glance the head even a little. The point of the rule is to get rid of head first contact which I agree with doing. I have zero problem with that hit and if anyone else other than Trouba made that hit for 95% of people it isn't even getting talked about.

I remember them.
But, 80% of their hits that made the high-light real today would be illegal I think today. In this day and age of concussions and th discovery of CTE means the game has to change. I mean, just one example but look at what happened to Joe Murphy because of his CTE and what has happened to him as a person.
Anyways, I'm not asking for hitting to be removed from the sport but predatory hits where another player cannot remember what happened from that day afterwards do not belong.

To a degree, I actually agree with you. You're talking about the rock 'em sock 'em play that many of us grew up watching from the 80s, 90s, and even 15 years ago (early 2000s). Scott Stevens, Jeff Beukeboom, Cam Neely, Shanny, Tony Twist, Rob Ray...just to name a few.
I remember them.

I'm not arguing player safety needs to be enforced and I agree hits to the head are bad, but the thing that started this today is the insistence if Trouba looks at you, it's an illegal hit.

There are a ton of things that are penalties/not allowed now that were not in 2000. For example, today any contact to any part of the hands is now a hook, the second goal in game 6 would have been disallowed back then etc.

VGK -- the team everyone hates now -- has hired a new coach: https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...as-head-coach/
So, Cassidy wasn't on the market for long. But, I think him going to a contendor was was always in the cards.

It starts tonight. I hope my heart can take the stress of this series.

This one will not be quite the track-meet style from what I can guess. And we actually, in this case, have an actual name-brand goalie who CAN steal games with Tampa. Still, personally, I think we've all seen enough of the Bolts winning the Cup now. Time for a new Champ. Go Nordiques! Tampa will have nightmares of playing the Hawks in the Final a few years ago as this Colorado team is just as fast and skilled...
Denver in 6.

The Avs in 6 is my prediction as well. It wil defintiely be their toughest test for sure. They are going to have to win some closer games they they are used to. The Avs should also be the toughest team the Bolts have faced in the finals in my opinion as well. Ready for some excellent hockey.

Man they made that stressful on me. Avs dominated a lot of possession but let up with the 2 goal lead. I hate when they take their foot off the gas. Their best hockey is when they are pressing.
Bolts and Vasi brought it after that first 10min.

I have watched this team put up TDs all season. I did not expect them to do it against the Lightning at all. The domination they are showing is unreal.
Hope they can keep it up for at least one of the games in Tampa.

The Bolts are not dead yet but now, here comes the odds: Can Tampa beat the Avs 4 times in 5 games? Ehhh...doubtful.
Anyways, 2 more wins to go!
