I feel for you Taco, I really do
I've been watching Larrson since the world Jr's in Buffalo...I really thought he was going to be better than what he's been. Initially I thought Edmonton stole that trade...but like all Oiler drafties, they only seem to turn it on after they leave.
Speaking of, Shultz is out for at least 4 months...Pens D will suck without him. Coming off the same exact injury right now, 4 months is a wish.

Whoa what did he break? Or fracture? Out until playoffs?
I thought that being gone that long was generally reserved for ligament tears

Left leg... supposedly fractured. His left ankle buckled under him and bent ways that it shouldn't

Good shutout win by the Pens, nice to have Murray back in the saddle.
So sick of these 4 day breaks in October

Leaves seem to have fallen back to Earth...so, maybe the Cup chatter can STFU for awhile. They haven't won anything and the season is pretty long -- the path in the East goes through the Caps, Bolts, and Pens still.
Meanwhile, Kings look to be playing hockey in the wrong era...those young teams are skating circles around them.

LFG RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

Rangers win a game in Regulation! Thanks Florida!
Crosby shows Edmonton who's boss the final minute of OT. Maybe McDavid shouldn't have been on the bench...
After the shutout, Murray is back to his old form...and that's not a good thing. Is Fleury available?

Murray stood on his head and made some amazing and timely saves last night, but Crosby definitely showed everyone in the building who the best player in the world is

Strome has a concussion after what Crosby did to him in OT.

So with the Kings current funk...what's the over/under on how many more games they lose before Stevens gets the axe? He's got to be on thin ice here.
I say of they go 1 win in their next 3...he's gone. If they can manage 2, maybe he lasts another couple weeks.

That was a very entertaining game to watch, ack. And kudos to Crosby. That stick work on the OT winner was a total mind fuck to watch. Shiiiet he ain’t done. Not even close

As I'm sure you saw the same, that goal was replayed almost all day today because Canada news is hockey 99% of the time unless it's a World War or something...BUT, I'll say this: 9 out of 10 times, THAT shot, after all those moves, is stoppable by Talbot...BUT, he was probably WTFing at how Sid completely dismantled Strome like that and well, I think the -ing had alot to do with him letting it in. I think Talbot was unnerved. Otherwise, THAT type of shot is stopped most of the time. It was just all that in front of it, it's enough to hypnotize me too.

We traded eberle for that

Blackhawks were faced with Cap challenges due to needing to pay everyone and so, they BLED good players to shed salary.
Oilers have NO Cups in this era but decided to keep Chicago company and so, shed THEIR talent and amassed salary cap hell...because, well, Edmonton's a classy organization and nobody should feel as rotten as Chicago. Oilers are #1 in empathy points.

I have no idea what you’re saying right now.

Pay attention dammit:
Your GM traded HALL (MVP) to get Larsson.
Your GM traded a high pick for Reinhart. Where is that Reinhart anyways...? In the ECHL with what team now?
Your GM basically bled Oilers' talent with Ebs, Hall, the asset for Reinhart and lost top tier players for the sake of sh*ts and giggles. I was saying Chicago had to bleed talent because they had to pay for their Cups. What was Edmonton bleeding talent for? Just for kicks?
MAKE SENSE NAO, GWAI-RO?!?? WHY DO US CHINEE ALWAYS HAVE TO SPELL IT OUT FOR YOUR GWAI-ROS?!????

25-22-6 with a .916 save percentage? Meh...so-so if you ask me. He was never amazing except for his first year with the Yotes, IMO. Overrated after that...in many ways, I find him to be a lesser version of Quick who I also think is overrated but is "sexy" because he loves to do splits to do saves and everyone is oooh-ahhh.
Senior Moderator
Speaking of Kings. No Deano to save them out of this trainwreck...

In other news, the Count is not reducing Wilson's suspension.

Truly believe every ream has one of these a year. Good part is to hope you're on the + side of them.
Calgary's D was out to lunch on this one. Haven't seen an NHL game with that much open ice between the dots in some time.
BTW: My dead clock is clicking on Stevens in LA. He should be out soon. They lose to the Rangers on Sunday...it will be Monday or Tuesday

Heck, didn't the Pens get steam-rolled by my Hawks like 10-zip last year on opening night? It means nothing since Hawks missed the playoffs and Pens had a decent year.
