What a way for Sid to break out of his playoff scoring slump.

They pulled weaksauce like that with Detroit too, going so far as to require a local FL drivers license to acquire tickets because they were sick of getting trolled by "lets go red wings" louder than homer chants in their own barn.
Just imagine how they'll try to stiff domcha in round one 10 years from now when the leaves finally make the post season after babs is fired.

I would think it is illegal to tell people how to dress at a sporting event. (within reasonable legal limits of course)

I said to my gf that now was a perfect time for Sid or Malkin to take over the game, and Sid did just that. Great game to be at, awesome atmosphere, and the crowd was insane. Sid's OT winner was a great way to cap off an exciting game.

like I said, they can't kick out paying customers. I guess they force you to change seats or offer you a refund. still fucking pathetic either way

It's kinda lame but I understand it. Do a quick Google search for "fan attacked by home team fans" and it might make more sense as a preventive measure to keep fan on fan violence to a minimum.
Because most people are really really dumb, fo' real.

Wow, to take in a home playoff game for the team you're rooting for. Quite the experience, Ack.
I hope to one day take in a Hawks playoff game at the UC. Sadly, only regular season games to-date. One day!

I get the violence deal. A Ranger fan was brutalized after the WC in Philly, A giants fan was nearly killed at Dodger stadium etc. I have seen 99% of the Ranger and Yankee Games I have attended in the other team's barn in my team jersey and not been attacked.
It is unfortunate.

As you know, my family and I have season tickets, so I've been to plenty of playoff games, but we did not get playoff tickets this year, so it was extra special to get to go to a game since they've been a lot harder to obtain for me this year. And definitely an awesome and memorable one to be at for sure

Nothing beats a cup final game though, I was at 1 in 2008 and 1 in 2009, absolutely amazing and memorable for sure, and in the old Civic Arena.

Being at a home playoff game has to be an unreal experience. I finally made it to my first regular season home game this year and it was just so much better than always seeing my team be the away team. Can't imagine that in a playoff setting.

There's nothing like playoff hockey, it's literally my favorite thing in the world. Hockey is the best sport to see live, but playoffs is a whole different level.

Phil is streaky, but he's been really great for us in the playoffs, definitely showing his worth for us. Thanks Domcha
That Hagelin Bonino Kessel line has been ridiculous

Having a roster with a great 3rd line is often a formula for success.
The Hawks' 3 Cups recently all featured a pretty impressive 3rd line. Pittsburgh's is probably the best right now...not sure any team in the playoffs left has that sort of scoring from that line.

I would love to see a playoff game live someday, but as a Leafs fan it probably wont happen again in a long time.

What Rangers GM should learn from Carl Hagelin giant backfire | New York Post
From the Fool Them Once file: If the Rangers trade Chris Kreider to a Western Conference team, then general manager Jeff Gorton must attach a clause to the deal through which the Blueshirts would receive additional value — say, in the form of a first-round draft choice — should Kid K be sent back east within three years.
Call it Rule 62.
It is impossible to recall a trade of a support player backfiring as badly on a team as the Carl Hagelin deal has blown up in the Blueshirts’ faces. Not only did the Rangers lose a unique, and thus far irreplaceable, piece of the puzzle who personified a large part of their identity as a speed team under coach Alain Vigneault, Hagelin has wound up in Pittsburgh, thriving as an instrumental part of a powerful division rival.
This turn of events has to make the Rangers sick. All of it: the negligible return from Anaheim in the trade, which materialized out of thin air at last year’s entry draft and was completed within about five minutes; the switcheroo to Pittsburgh in mid-January after Hagelin had failed to adapt to Anaheim (or the Ducks failed to adapt to him); the revitalization of the Penguins, with the Swede playing the same role as a catalyst as he had in New York from the moment of his promotion from the AHL the day after Thanksgiving 2011.
There is no doubt the Rangers knew they had lost something important when they sent Hagelin away under the duress of attempting to manage a sticky cap situation. But it is not clear they understood how vital a cog Hagelin was to their success, and it certainly is not clear that they worked at maximizing the return for him.
Rarely is the presence or absence of one individual determinative in hockey, and pretty much never when that individual is a third-line forward, but the Blueshirts’ penalty killing crashed without Hagelin — 26th this year after being ranked sixth and third in the previous two seasons with Vigneault behind the bench — and so did their back pressure, and so did their forecheck, and so did 2014-15 linemate Kevin Hayes.
Now Hagelin is in Pittsburgh, six victories away from the Stanley Cup, playing on perhaps the tournament’s most dynamic line, and with three years remaining on his contract, through which he can torment the Rangers.
Now Hagelin is in Pittsburgh, where the Rangers never would have chosen to send him, while Ryan Gropp may or may not be on the way to New York at some point in the next few years.
Which is fair warning to Gorton why, if the Rangers move Kreider this summer, the GM had best protect the franchise in case No. 20 winds up some place like Philadelphia or Brooklyn next winter.
