Just picked Bob with my first pick. One owner had 2 picks in the first round and he took McDavid and Eichel

Stamkos, Hall, Nash and Voracek were all gone before my pick was up.

Yeah, figured. You have decent goalies...just hope your lineup can stay healthy.

So here's how my team stacks up:

FORWARDS
Corey Perry
Jonathan Toews
Logan Couture
Evander Kane
Nikita Kucherov
Wayne Simmonds
Brandon Saad
Kyle Okposo
Brandon Dubinsky
Pavel Datsyuk
Derek Stepan
David Perron

DEFENSE
Shea Weber
Kevin Shattenkirk
John Klingberg
Jazke Muzzin
Justin Schultz
Olli Maata
David Savard

GOALIES
Ben Bishop
Sergei Bobrovsky
Jimmy Howard

Thoughts? Did I do OK? Kinda sucks when your pick is 8th out of 9 teams. Most of the good D and goaltending was picked in the first 2 rounds.

I like it although the large question mark is Kane -- who we're not sure if he'll have his head screwed on straight with the Sabres. Okposo, Datsyuk, Toews, and Maata are potential injury concerns...they typically miss time throughout the year. But, if they can stay healthy, they are blue-chippers.

Saad is an awesome pickup. I think him and Ryan Jo in Columbus will really be quite the duo...

Goalies are good. Howard probably is no longer a starter but he's good as a 3rd guy behind 2 solid starters. I would've still preferred a Rinne, Rask, Lundqvist, or Price as one of your goalies but I assume those guys were not even available.

Yeah I know E. Kane is risky but was too talented not to keep. If he keeps his head in the game he could have a monster year.

I do have a lot of injury-prone guys but I'm hoping to get lucky this year. I got Datsyuk in the 13th round so even if I get 50-60 games out of him it'll be worth it.

As for the goalies, this was the best I could do. Rinne was the 3rd pick in the draft, I picked Bob at #8, and Dubnyk was the 3rd pick in round 2. All of the other star goalies were already keepers on other teams.

Despite already being a leader on the team, soobahn might still be a bit immature to wear a "c". Unless he's ready to drop his acting career, him being your liaison to the refs might backfire.

habs are my team , but I agree with you, I don't think boooban is ready for the C yet, I think patches will be great, pleckanac seems to be a quiet fellow but we will see. Markov too but his career is almost done. Only if the whole team had the same heart and grit as gallagher!

And LOL at your sig

Pat Kaleta is generally an idiot...but, this is the most intelligent and awesome thing he's ever said.

When I shoot, I'm shooting to score. When I hit, I'm imagining it's Tom Brady.

He's my new fave player.

Of course what they did isn't NEARLY as bad as what Brady did. I mean, can you compare MAYBE lowering the PSI on a ball to raping a woman? Not in Yumchah's world you can't

Right everyone?

Reposting for the soft-supple ball worshippers like dom who think insulting a Chicago athlete who is some weird defense of cheating or comeback:

If they are guilty...get out. If an athlete is a cheater, regardless of race, Aston Martin, Pagani, robot, or Kate Beckinsale, they should be punished and tarred.

Got it? Good.

I'll keep watching for the posts Yumchah. You're still roughly 1,378,456 Kane\Rose posts behind your Brady\Pats posts.

Scotty Bowman allegedly had the opposing locker room painted during the 1996 and 1997 playoffs. For consecutive years Blues players noticed that their locker room at Joe Louis Arena reeked of fresh paint before game 5. In the past two playoffs, the Blues found their locker room reeking of fresh paint. Before and during Game 1 in Detroit last year, the dressing room thermostat was either stuck on hot or cold, depending on what the Blues didn't want.
Ban Scotty Bowman!!!!

Patiently awaits Yumchah posts about banning Scotty for life.

In all seriousness, not sure where people are thinking I'm giving Kane/Rose a pass. But...okay!

And oh, whereas Brady et al are actually guilty of cheating...Kane/Rose? Not guilty yet. Just guilty for being retards/idiots...but, nothing charged. So, until then, I've got nothing to really PW about.

But can we chalk this post up as one on the Kane/Rose "hate" column?

Has Bowman adjusted team's thermostats and repainted their dressing rooms while employed by the Hawks? Are there accusations that he had those antics employed in any of the Hawks 3 Cup wins recently?

I don't get it...We are talking about a franchise that is systematically CHEATING and accused of it by everyone on the planet.

And the defenders' only comeback is to point at so-and-so's fave team and point out their players that were allegedly guilty of rape? Eh?

As I said, the latter is reprehensible but, it's completely different issue.

And lets be clear, I'm no Pats defender, not my team. I feel they ARE likely guilty of everything they're being accused of. My argument is its common in every sport, every team and many, many players. It happens all the time. Players and teams bending rules or doing questionable things such as painting locker rooms the day before a game to get an edge. I just don't see the big deal. And now that the media has latched on to the Pats like Patrick Kane to a 19 year girl in a bar, its just getting really really tiresome.

And when I see a million posts on the subject. It irks me a tad. That's all.

Now about banning Bowman....
