Maybe your right, it will help the NY Cabbies more because they face James Neal and the Pendives more than the Bruins do.

The only guy on Bostons roster who is known to embellish is Marchand and no one in Boston likes it. Unfortunately they play teams like Montreal and Pittsburgh frequently so like Campbell said, they feel the need to level the playing field by embellishing too.
Its a cycle they need to stop, the more they let it go, the more others feel the need to do it as well. As I've said before, there is never actually a powerplay from embellishment, they always take 2 players and play 4 on 4. That's no deterrent, you never get penalized for embellishing you just may not get rewarded.
Honestly I don't expect the refs to catch it all the time on ice at game speed the games too fast and there's too much going on. That's why I'm excited (if they really follow through) with using the video replay crew to make determinations for post game discipline. Somethings got to be done, it gets worse every year and its a culture on many teams.
Neal has already been given a break by the NHL this season for his repeated diving. In a February 7 game against the New York Cabbies, Neal received his third penalty of the season for embellishment. There is no doubt that the penalty was deserved.
Under Rule 64.3 – a Rule the NHL made a whole lot of hoopla about creating to take a harder stance on divers – players are subject to a one-game suspension for a third diving penalty in a season. Neal, however, was not suspended.

What's the context to that?
The "turd" period is from Hawks play-by-play guy Pat Foley who likes to call the 3rd period that...Of course, he's just trying to be humorous mispronouncing it as per his 3:33-mark as "tree-turty-tree"...but, Hawks loyals also know that the Turd is referred to as that when Hawks can't hold a freaking lead.
