I can't wait to read the explanation in here how Orpik's hit was "clean".
Now excuse me while I go throw up somewhere. Cansucks were once the dirtiest team in the League. Nope, that title now belongs to the Pens...congrats. I suppose they need something to be #1 at something with all those playoff fail-boats.

Head shot? It was shoulder on shoulder. All but 1 of the NBC announcers thought it was clean, the one who didn't has an axe to grind.
Seriously though, I hate to see captain why so serious get hurt, dude is a class act, and a great player, hope he's OK and not hurt bad.

Seriously? I mean, we must be clearly watching different games.
I posted it on the other page and here it is again for you...I do not see what you are seeing. At all.

All I see is Orpik's shoulder going straight into Toews' head. But, hey...maybe in Pittsburgh, the word "head" means "shoulder".

I love Orpik's post-game quote: "There was no penalty. I don’t know. I think that hit happens 10 times a game."
YUP, IT DOES. That sort of hit happens 10 times a game cuz that's how Pens like to hit.

I know trying to convince a pens fan that the rest of the world thinks of their team as a bunch of predatory goons is about as possible as convincing the Pope that the universe existed long before the concept of God but here goes.
You guys have no defense for the accusations of your players, it's always "haters", people with "agendas", people who are "jealous" or have an "axe to grind". Could it be possible that maybe, just maybe the rest of us are right?
Have you ever noticed that these types of conversations about the Pens are relatively universal through out the fans of the other 29 teams? Have you ever noticed that these universal opinions never seem to appear against another team when it comes to goonery? Just like it's universally accepted that Edmonton sucks no matter how many #1 draft picks they get, it's universally accepted that the Pens are indeed a bunch of cheap shot throwing goons.
Quick, tell me my teams a goon squad because Chara broke Pacioretty's neck. Then put on your rose colored glasses and defend your boy Orpik on this one.
Oh yeah, that's when Orpik broke Erik Coles neck. You never seem to bring that up. Why is that? Why can't pengoons fans accept their team for what they are? A bunch of talented hockey players who think cheap shot are hard nosed physical play. It's not, your team is comprised mostly of cowardly dirtbags.

Well because of the leagues well documented bias against suspending pengoons players, I'll guess none. We'll have to wait for Karma to get him like last time, or like what happened to Dupuis shortly after his slash broke Kelly's leg, or what happened to Kneel (who by the rule book should have been suspended after his 3rd diving penalty this year clear cut, no interpretation of what happened, but you know, he plays for the Pengoons so no discipline).

Thank you Penguins. Need those Blackhawks loses to continue to secure some home ice.

Ban the Penguins!
The sizzle in the Steak
...and some might have thought I was joking when the Kings played the Pengoons a few games back and I said "All I want is the Kings to escape the Pengoons without a cheapshot injury....I don't care about the score board."

The Orpik hit on Toews takes the gold medal for "clean hit"...but, if that never happened, Bortozzo's lovely cross-check on Sharp would've been awesome to show little kids how to play hockey across the planet.

29 groups of people fully understand, 1 group doesn't.

Toews was rubbing his arm after the hit, not his head. Don't see how in the world you think that was a head shot. Orpik kept his elbow down too. The NHL tonite analyst said it was clean. the only person bitching was that moron mike milbury.

Does it matter where he's hurt?
I could care less what the NBC people said.
And again, are you looking at the .gif I posted above? Looks like a head-shot to me. Not to mention Orpik left his feet.
But, for your convenience, allow me to repost it again.
May I borrow your glasses to feel better about the hit? Thanks!

how is it a head shot if he hurt his arm?? and on the course of throwing a hit, sometimes the player drives up with the body, therefore lifting his feet up after connecting with the other player. his elbow is down, shoulder to shoulder. orpik is taller therefore it may look to you like he hit toews head...

And maybe it's because Orpik's a Penguin...but, I am NOT seeing whatever it is you are seeing.

I agree that there is no charging on the hit, but you lost a ton of credibility with your first sentence. It's almost laughably stupid what you wrote.
You can't be serious.

Look kids, Pengoons are always gonna goon it up. Their bubble world fanbase of apologists will never see the light.
Let's move on to the awesomeness that is Quick!!!!
It's so mind-blowing, you would almost think it was fake......but nope it's real.
I saw it live, and gave a standing ovation along with the rest of the crowd.

Do these glasses that they use work in parts of the world where there is lots of suffering, death, and poverty...? Maybe when I put it on, everyone will look well-fed, well-off, and happy.
And will these glasses make an Acura look more like a Ferrari or Pagani...?

I'm sure you guys will ignore the article, but check out the twitter comments he references.
Brooks Orpik’s body check on Jonathan Toews was so pure, it floats. It was a classic shoulder check. He didn’t target the head. He left his feet on the follow-through, but that’s legal. It didn’t draw so much as a minor penalty.
Enter Mike Milbury.
As a coach as GM, everything Milbury touched turned to excrement. That’s why he’s on TV. No team will have him. Milbury was charged with assaulting a 12-year-old hockey player at a Boston-area outdoor rink after that player had allegedly bullied Milbury’s son. He’s a tool. NBC should be ashamed to employ him.
To quote Paul Bissonnette of the Phoenix Coyotes, “Knowing Mike Milbury has a job talking hockey makes me feel good about life after I’m done playing. Guy’s a zero.” @BizNasty2point0
To quote ex-Washington Capital Brendan Witt, “[Milbury] sucks more ass than the Hoover Vacuum.” @Whitemooseranch
I’m not even sure what that means, but I totally agree.
Witt stirred some clarity into his Twitter mix when he said, “Just saw the hit on Toews by Orpik. It was a beauty. Great hockey check. See, kids, what happens when you have your head down?”
Making the situation ever stranger: The Blackhawks didn’t look to rumble. They didn’t bitch about the hit after the game. “I know [Orpik] as a fair guy,” said the Blackhawks’ Marian Hossa, a former Penguin.
NBC's Keith Jones, sitting right next to Milbury, said it was a clean hit.
This is a totally invented controversy created by a solitary half-wit.
I’m certainly no stranger to conjuring craziness out of thin air for the sake of feeding the masses. But this is the wrong guy saying the wrong thing.
Twitter is awash with Boston hockey fans piling on Orpik. Not Chicago fans. Boston. That city still has its panties in a bunch over Orpik’s (also unpenalized) hit on Loui Eriksson. Orpik, of course, was then concussed via a blind-side attack by the Bruins’ Shawn Thornton.
In Boston, assault is OK. Legal checks apparently aren’t.
Thornton made himself into a hero by crying crocodile tears even though what he did was plainly illegal. What Orpik does, isn’t.
What kind of game does Milbury want hockey to be when legal hits are said to be legit cause for gangland-style retaliation?
Hats off to the Chicago Blackhawks, Coach Joel Quenneville and especially Jonathan Toews. He’s a class player. Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery. The Blackhawks understand what hockey is. Milbury doesn’t

Dustin Brown's knee on knee hit from last year against the Sharks now makes it clear that Orpik's hit to the head was not a cheap shot....and also because Toews was holding his arm, not his head.

Before Rounder and Ack get too defensive about my issue here, let's be clear: I haven't piled on this "Pengoon" thing until I saw the awful display of sportsmanship yesterday by your team. You see shoulder on shoulder, I see shoulder to head. Who gives a f*ck that Toews injured his shoulder? Thank goodness it's not his head...at least Chicago now has a chance with him hopefully back by playoff-time.
You guys are lucky that the Hawks don't play that way and decided to reduce the game to a street-fight after the shenanigans by Orpik and Bortozzo.
Keep this up and other teams are not so kind.

I'm gonna post the vid of Gretzky's high stick on Gilmour in game 7 against the Leafs to prove that the sun rises in the East, the sky is blue, and that Quebec deserves an NHL franchise.

Consider yourself enlightened.
Consider your team lucky that it plays out West.

And I don't see why bringing Boston and LA into this has anything to do with the hit on Toews yesterday. Yes, bring in other teams to defend your team's poor sense of what is clean into this argument.
THAT'LL make yesterday right! Yeah!

All Pittsburgh needs to do is to add biting and hair-pulling into their repertoire and their turn to the Dirt Side is complete.

Just post a link to some NHL nude pics, that'll distract him for a few days and keep him out of the discussion.
