Wingoons stole a point, they definitely didn't want to get to the shootout, I have a feeling your boy Legwand will get a game or 2 off for his butt end to the kidney

Love the Jersey
Don't try to defray goonery Mr. Original Pengoon, the Wings are consistently one of the least penalized teams in the league.

Fawking crazy Patrick Roy, pulling the goaltender with nearly 5 minutes left to play and a 2 goal deficit. Didn't work out for him but you gotta admire the balls to go for it, the B's didn't score but they didn't ice the puck for the entire 6 on 5.
Plus they'll keep their playoff streak alive.

You will rue the day your smarmy words come back to haunt you when the Red Wings sneak into the eight spot on the final game of the season and upset your B's in the first round.
Just like we took out the top seeded quacks last year and then took yummy cakes to the brink.

Iggy passes Bucyk for sole possession if 25th on the all time goals list. He would have passed him regardless of whether he came to Boston or not but being that Bucyk still works for the team it's a little more special.
"I feel blessed to be up on that list, and to play here and get to know him makes it special," Iginla said. "He's been great. He's been cheering me on all year and we've been joking back and forth. Getting to know a guy who played with the Original Six and had all the success he had, it's pretty special."
I lost a little bit of respect for Iggy after he left Calgary and sort of morphed into the Marian Hossa 2.0. If his BBD with the B's doesn't work out this year, he should ask to to to Chicago.

Didn't "ultra alfie " essentially do the same thing? Dump his long standing team for a shot at the cup?

He moved once at the trade deadline for a cup run on a team that knew they couldn't afford to keep him past the year. Then they made him play the wrong position.
What did you want him to do? Retire or go to another noncompetitive team? He couldn't stay with the pengoons and he didn't fit there anyway. His sole reason for leaving calgary was winning a cup, of course hes going to go to a contender. Holding it against him for the second move is ridiculous.
Personally, I'd have more respect for a guy who wins it and was there all year over a trade deadline acquisition who just comes in for the stretch run

Blackack can correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Iggy initially deny the trade to Pengoons? My take on it is that he rejected the B's, then realized he didn't want to be known as Pengoonla and had a change of heart. Certainly not holding it against him wanting to lift a cup, but when you're at the tail end of your career, pick a good spot and go out with some pride man. That's all I'm saying, don't keep cherry picking like Hossa until you find a team to overpay you.

If iggy moves again, I'll think of him as a jouneyman looking for a cup, right now I see him as a guy who dedicated himself to 1 team for a long time, spent 2 months as a trade deadline rental player, then went to a team who could use him and had a legit chance at a cup.
I almost can't believe Moog hasn't thrown down in there yet. We all know what a TLX fan he is.

Nice to be in the house when Quick broke the Kings franchise record for goaltender wins and took the #1 spot over Rogie Vachon.
...and Quick being the class act that he is said basically that it will be another couple of seasons before it really happens since back when Vachon played there were no shoot-out wins.....and not to mention that Quick plays behind some great defense, which Vachon did not have. Class act!
