I don't quite get why Tampa wanted to move him. Unless the damage between he and Stevie Y was irreparable. and if it was, why is St.Louis such a fawkin suck? "I didn't make team Canada wha, wha" Look at the roster, Marty....

And why does Glen Sather still have a job. The guy makes nothing but bad decisions every trade deadline and on July 1st.. His expiry date was in the 80's. Looks like he got fleeced here too.

Think of the positives. Cab can now have a Marty St.Louis built a bear to add to his collection.

NY couldn't afford to keep Callahan after this year, Henrik has to be paid his 59 million.

Wow!

I suppose the wildcard in the Callahan/St. Loo trade is that Callahan is an UFA right? So, hence the draft picks...still, in the cap era, draft picks are where it's at...

How the Rangers and Flyers continue to dump them like they have an infinite number of picks makes zero sense to me.

Mcnabb was the icing on the cake.

The two 2nd round picks are what the Kings were after.

IMHO they are going to flip those 2 2nd round picks as a part of a deal later today.

Ah. Who are Hudson Fasching and Nic Deslauriers? I thought I knew some of the Kings prospects (i.e. Vey, Forbort, Gibson)...but, no idea who those two are. Are they prized prospects? Cuz, 2 second rounders is a pretty good haul.

Frattin, 2nd, and conditional 3rd round pick.

Jackets eat half of Gaborik's contract for the year.

And you said Frattin wasn't worth much. But.......Why would anyone want Gaborik?

I think I'd rather have Frattin

Good job, Deano getting rid of the Leaf crap.

Deano, learn your lesson: You don't want what the Leafs got.

Learn the lesson and move on. Deano, you got schooled on the Bernier deal.

Live and learn. Thankfully, the Leaf ilk is gone from the team.

I don't know. I just see him as highly overrated. But when a team averages 1.31 GPG, I guess anyone will help.

2nd Round pick, which the Kings just got from the Sabres. Frattin, who has scored 2 goals in 40 games and a conditional pick based on playoffs or re-signing and it's a 3rd.....for Gaborik rental......pretty deal.

How much is left on his deal and what is Columbus picking up?

It wasn't even 2 months ago that John Davidson was on the radio singing Gabroik's praises. If he's so good, why does he always get traded.

But I'll agree LA didn't give up much. Especially if the BJ'ecks pick up some salary.

Gaborik in last year of 7.5 mill deal.
Blue Jackets are going to eat more than half of the remainder.

Pretty good deal for a rental.

3rd round pick is conditional if the kings get a first round playoff win, or Gaborik resigns with LA.

Gaborik is a gamble.....it all depends on which Gaborik shows up.
