In all honestly. I had no idea there even were outdoor games on until watching the highlights. Overkill to the extreme. But seems like they were at least very well attended which I guess would be considered a win for the NHL.

Yup, didn't even tune in to the Nucks/Sens tilt. But, given how well they are selling, I expect another wave next season...these gimmicks are here to stay for a bit methinks.

re: Kesler rumor... I wouldn't trade Pouliot...I'd go Sutter/Despres/1st... They want Kesler for 3rd line center role / PK specialist / shutdown center (a la J. Staal) and as insurance if Malkin or Crosby goes down.
We also need a winger for Crosby (same old story since god knows when).

I'm hearing that they want Kesler as the winger for Crosby, then we're left without a 3rd line center unless they make another trade

You mean you don't win cups with Tanner Glass, Taylor Pyatt and Joe Vitale on your 3rd/4th lines? Who knew?

Guess I'll have to Google it.
At Penner to the Caps. He's the missing ingredient to their success.
