When you blow a 2-0 lead with little left in the 3rd, then take stupid penalties (even when you are gifted a power play).....and then gifted a non-call penalty shot.........you deserve to lose the game.

USA handed the gold to Canada. Plain and simple.

To the victor go the spoils.

nau?

What makes that a special win for Canada is the US owned them all year. Canada just switched head coaches 2 months ago and put Kevin Dineen in charge. A late controversial move but it paid off.

I dunno if the coaching change did anything.

I do know however that in the gold medal game, the USA defeated themselves.

No disrespect to Canada, but the USA blew this easily won game.

Didn't see anything so no comment. But since the coaching change, they've beaten the US twice (after losing 5 in a row IIRC) so it obviously helped.

And giving up 2 with 4 left in the 3rd. I would think you have to give some credit to Canada?

When you watch the game, you will see the US change how they played the game with a 2-0 led. They played not to lose....

I'm expecting a very exciting game, I was hoping for it to be a medal game, and not an elimination game, but still very exciting. I agree that I think Canadia will come out with their hair on fire.

Johnny T out for the season?

You'll see. It was no great coaching that won the girls the coach, but rather gifts from the USA courtesy of bad play, and stupid penalties.

Who was the better team? Clearly Canada, they won.
USA failed themselves, and handed Canada the gold....plain and simple.

This just in:

Ilya Kovalchuk racked up an insurmountable tab at a local hotel and resort franchise.
Kovalchuk, after promising to render his services to pay for what was in the hotel and resort franchise contract/tab, that he agreed too, then skipped town, leaving the hotel and resort franchise is severe disarray for years to come.

Eyewitness accounts say that guests and employees of the hotel and resort are shocked and upset over what Kovalchuk did to their beloved franchise.

When asked for comment, a guest of the hotel/resort franchise said "He seemed like such a nice guy, nobody ever thought he would skip out on his obligations."

Sources say it will take years or decades for the hotel/resort franchise to get back to where they once were.

You're missing my point. This team was in disarray 3 months ago, fighting with their old coach, losing o the US 5-1. He's obviously made some changes that's brought in some confidence and a different mindset. when you fire a coach 2 months before the Olympics, there were obviously issues.

Watching the end of the US vs Russia game, I cannot believe that the place didn't burn to the ground when they disallowed that goal in the third, wow

Old coach = No Chance for Canada

New coach = Chance to win (Not reason they won) Just helped their chances.

Well, see...there's the Oilers' Curse...which is no-win-all-the-time and the Leafs' Curse...which is tease-a-win-but-really-choke-away-the-win.

So, we all saw the squads with Oilers go up in flames in the preliminary rounds. Team USA making it this far is akin to the Leaves making it deep against the Bruins...

So, let me tell you what will happen with the Kessel Effect: When the Yanks play the Team Beavers tomorrow, the Yanks will go up 4-1 into the 3rd...and then, blow it like the Womens in glorious fashion. Canada and Brad Doty win the gold.

And to add insult to injury, it will be Bergeron who scores the GWG.

No choke job, it was the superior coaching of Canada that won the game outright.

Watch the game and understand that ANY coaching by Canada had nothing to do with their win.

To be fair I give Boston ZERO credit for that game 7 win so I guess it's only fair to do the same here.

I'm beginning to suspect domcha is not really Canadian and is just a bot.

The evidence:

1. Took him 37 years to visit the HOF (in his backyard)
2. Doesn't watch gold medal hockey game LIVE.
3. Eyewitness saw him downing shots of Finlandia at the brass rail last weekend.
