I suppose the bright side to nursing this awful cold is that I can snuggle up and watch some hockey with Little Cha.

Even if they win. This was a tad embarrassing. You'd have to make the US clear favorites in the semis. Canada isn't gelling.

With all this play-by-play in here, it's very clear many of you are sitting on your couches watching with your build-a-bear.

Meh. One gamers are all coin-flips. But, as an observer who could care less which country wins (except Team China or Chinese Taipei), I think this sort of close game will help Canada out later.

I can't see shit. Our network at work is routed through the US so the web stream on CBC.ca is blocked because of my IP.

And dom, you shouldn't be that bitter. Only reason this is a 2-1 game is because the Latvian goalie is playing out of his mind. Canada has out-chanced the Latvians so badly, it's almost like watching the Miami LeHeat play the Raptors.

Babs calls a timeout after Price holds onto the puck after a save.

I'll have you know the Raptors are now 5 games over 500 and 3rd in the East. If they keep this up I just may have to show up in the NBA thread.

Canada wins.

dom, you can breathe and stop hyper-ventilating now. Brad Doty, Weber, and Serious came through to help with the GWG. All is well in Canada. I don't have to worry about any riots.

Still, I can't but laugh at the number of Edmonton Oiler leadership in the Team Canada management.

Watching this game, I do need to say, highsight 50-50...but, I would not have added Kunitz. He's kinda useless and seems a bit lost out there.

I'd say the same for Serious if he was not out there blocking shots, winning face-offs, killing penalties, and back-checking like his life depended on it.

And here's the Kunitz criticism: the guy is nice in Pittsburgh with Crosby, no doubt...but, in the games I've seen him with Sid? Pretty useless.
