I do like them
I also have an Antonio gates jersey.. But I don't really care for the bolts... Just like gates.
Didn't know you couldn't root on another team (that we clearly never play)
My co-worker is from Arkansas.. And unless they are playing LSU.. He roots on the tigers.. (jersey included)
It's referred to as being a sports fan.. Loyalty still lies with one team

I think AU has three strikes before MNC... Georgia (AU should win but get beat up/injuries before ---->>), strike 2, Bama (the AU defense finally pays it dues), and if no strike 2, the SECCG... USCe will study the 4th quarter of the regular season game on film, blue-ray, ipods, ipads, poster board, etc.
If AU passes the aforementioned tests, they deserve to go to the championship over any other undefeated team first.

If you've watched our games you'd see that our defense has actually improved. The Ole Miss score was skewed because we had 6-7 true freshman on the field halfway through the 4th quarter. OM got a pair of TDs to make the score look closer than that game really was.

if you give bama that much credit, you have to try and not be biased when you look at the war eagles chances of doing the same.
auburn has been getting lots of 3 pt wins and a couple 7 pointers...
alabama has dropped a game, yes, but has finished strong in all of their wins, including the one following their loss.. most of their wins come anywhere from 10-40 pts.. they had one close game with arky...
i know you cant judge each team based on opponents they have both played.. but we will see how alabama stacks up against LSU this weekend...
if they crush us.. its not ironclad but it'd be a wakeup call to auburn fans of how strong bama is/can be.
i am neutral when it comes to both bama and auburn.. i think auburn has the potential to be the best.. but i think based on each game.. bama is playing more consistent, strong football... (minus their hiccup of course)
good luck in the future games none-the less... gonna be an interesting ending to the season..

San Jose - one of the worst in the country
Penn State - one of the worst in the Big 11
Duke - would match up quite well with San Jose
Ark - good team
Florida - worst Florida team since Zook left
S. Car - good team, lost handily
OM - average to poor
Tennessee - worst team they have had ever
What makes Alabama so good this year? Their DL gets no penetration, LBs aren't as good without McClain, secondary has young guys at a couple positions. Their OL is not as good as last year, and McElroy is playing terrible.
You realize our defense has improved every game since Week 1? We've been playing a true freshman at CB, just pulled another RS last weekend. We have played 2 safeties who didn't play last year, 1 that played 1/2 the year. Been rotating in 3-4 true freshman on the DL during every game. I know we don't have the best players as LBs or DBs, but they get the job done.
We were up 44-17 against OM.. then we played 6-7 true freshman out there on defense. We let time run out against LSU when we were inside LSU's 5 yard line. The rest of the games have been close because we've turned the ball over at crucial times.

I can judge Alabama without being biased, but they are getting hype when they haven't done anything to deserve it. The team they have this year is not even close to the team they had last year.

time will tell..
yes, they played some bad teams, but they beat them badly, as they should... their schedule will only get tougher and they will prove themselves throughout the rest of their games.. but i wouldnt say anything they have done so far shows that they arent a strong team.
they dont have to be the team they were last year, last year was perfection.. they just have to be close..
i dont see them losing to us, or Miss St... especially not georgia state... they should go into the auburn game (home game) with 1 loss... and it will be a war..
but telling an auburn fan how strong bama is is like telling jesus that hell is nice... i just realized whom i was discussing them with lol...

Yes it will
What have they done to show they are a strong team? The best team they've played so far beat them!
Won't be good enough this year. Last year was not perfection, but luck.. they almost lost to UT, LSU & Auburn. Got some luck in all 3 of those games to win. Again, lucky that Colt McCoy got injured.. a true freshman almost brought Texas back to win.
Do you even watch football? LSU matches up very well against Alabama.. LSU can stop the run, and can run the ball with some decent passes by Jefferson/Lee. Both teams have had bye weeks, and LSU has installed some new plays on offense to get some type of offense on the field.
MSU is playing very good football right now, and has a team that can beat Alabama. They will also be playing emotional football since they lost a teammate this past week.
You do realize that Alabama is 1-7 against Auburn in their home stadium? That win came against the worst Auburn team the past 10-20 years (2008).
You haven't told me why Alabama is a strong team. They've beaten up on shitty teams.. given the win by Mallet against Arkansas & lost to South Carolina.

they are strong b/c they beat the shit out of bad teams.. and played well against good ones?
i thought i made that clear...
im not trying to argue with you, just sharing my point of view... no need to question my following of football.. im pretty sure i watch more football games then 99% of the population.
again, there arent many opinions of bama that wont have the same mentality that you do coming from an auburn fan... no need to get excited.. just waiting on auburn to do a little more then beating us by a touchdown and letting arky score 40+ on them with a backup qb.. thats all.
dont forget, you played half a game against mallet, and it showed when he left.. you could easily have 1 loss right now.

It has nothing to do with Auburn's recruitment of Newton... People are assuming that since this NFL reject told MSU he represented Newton and wanted money that Auburn paid for Newton. Fact is Newton wanted to come to Auburn > MSU.. no money was given.

I love this quote though
"The real issue though is this: if Auburn did pay someone $200,000 for the signature of Cam Newton they got an absolute steal."

The NCAA has known about this since July, but it's now being leaked because the other school in the state of Alabama has a connection to the NYT author. Our compliance department is one of the strictest in the country as we have a former NCAA compliance person heading the department. If we knew about this in July and found anything even remotely problematic with Newton he wouldn't have played a single snap for us no matter what. Our compliance department wouldn't allow it.
According to a source close to the Auburn Athletic Department with knowledge of the situation, any allegations about Auburn being involved with Rogers are erroneous.
Auburn has looked into Bond's allegations of Rogers' solicitation and there is "absolutely no evidence of any contact at all between Rogers and Auburn.
"There are no NCAA allegations against anyone on the Auburn coaching staff or anyone associated with Auburn University in the recruitment of Cam Newton," the source said.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik quickly summed up his thoughts on the allegations during his weekly radio show Thursday.
"Here's what I can say very loud and clear: Cam Newton is eligible at Auburn," Chizik said. "End of story.

And you ASSuming that Kenny Rogers represented Newton makes you look just as foolish as the ESPN writers jumping on a story without any proof.

Do you have vaginal leakage this week or what? Because your incoherent rant seems to indicate a blood loss to the brain.
