College Football: 2010 Season Discussion Thread
So with spring games in full effect, I figure it would be a good time to start a thread for a new year of football.
so hows everyones team looking so far?
For my gators, even though we lost alot of talent, the spring game was excellent, our new qb showed off for us and our defense looked great. I expect nothing less than an amazing season for us

We (USC) have the number #1 running back in the nation. A QB with some experience, and a boat load of returning starters. This is a team that lost to the national champs (Bama) by only 14 points on their field, while Florida lost by 19 at a neutral site.

Ooohh I see, the Florida nation doesn't need to run the ball. Lattimore is a second fiddle anyway... http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...ings/rank-2391
I'll go ahead and put my foot in my mouth... who want's Florida and 6 1/2 this year against SC?

at all the USC comments and at the uga sucks comment
but on a serious note...its up in the air who takes the SEC this year...i might even go out and say that Bama takes it again this year since alot of the other teams are rebuilding or lost alot of key players in the draft

LOL south carolina beating the gators this year? Is that a joke? Our offense is going to be absolute domination this year. Our weapons at WR are scary. The big concern is the defense, but I think we will be plug and play. Not good enough for national championship, but I think we only lose 1 game and get to the SEC championship

Embarassing is thinking your team is the greatest ever, only to go 8-4 or 7-5 year-in, year-out.
P.S. Why does every SEC fan think their team would go undefeated in every other conference?

Every fan of every team thinks that, even OSU *fans*.
And I use that term loosely, because I only can ever identify them by the sweaters and sweatshirts that mysteriously show up the day after a big win.

I'd bet a $10 spot that your Gators will have their hands full in the SEC East this year with the Gamecocks... UGA sucks, UT (new coach)...

I'll take that bet on the condition that Florida doesn't win the SEC East either for $20. So if USC wins... $40 to me... Florida wins $40 to you. If neither win, bet is a push.

More than likely they will.. I think the Iron Bowl (Auburn/Alabama) decides the West this year. It may come down to a 3 way tie with Arkansas who will have a great offense this year.

Good God man... your a Dawg... yall talk more smack than anyone in the conference. Don't fold yet (even though your backup QB is going to be leaving). Of course UT are the most annoying fans with that GD Rocky Top played 15 times during a game.

I just keep hearing how damn good Brantley is, and Florida always reloads.
We've kicked three (soon to be four) kids off the team for underage drinking (oh no3s!!!! kids drink at college?!?!?), including the starting QB. The third string (now second), is also our punt returner.
We're going to be in sad shape this year, even with all the talent. 2011 looks promising, though. If Green doesn't bail.

I don't recall a spanking... you were the No.1 team at the time, up by 3 at the half and won by 10 points. You must have confused our game with one of those green and yellow teams that yall run-up 75 points on the board.

Last year all of our WR's were hurt, this year I expect them to just go crazy. Seriously.
Debose, Carl Moore, Deante Thompson (will be a monster with a real passing QB), and I really like Omarius Hines (needs more play time)
We still have demps and rainey and moody at RB...Offense should be explosive.
I'm just not sure how well we will fill in the D

Now if UGA loses Logan Gray then you better provide Murray with a personal bodyguard.. if he gets injured it will be a LONG season with a true freshman QB from Lassiter.
