if you mean recruiting classes its Alabama #1. FSU #2
espn has FSU as #1 but with the recruit numbers it doesnt really make sense...
Rivals.com breaks it down a little better.
i see Notre Dame at #9 on rivals
Clemson actually had the most 5 star recruits.. but they lacked badly on 4 stars, which is why they are so far down the list.

No surprises here. It's pretty long so I won't paste it here, but it's not a bad read.
Thoughts?

college kids are human...
punishment should be heavily based on the severity of the crime..
throwing a man through a glass door in a fight shouldnt ruing somebody's career/life

Some are saying Tressel's coaching career might be done if he lied about when he knew about the dap-for-tat stuff.

After all the shit that was written about Cam unless these "sources" come out and say what they know then it's just a BS article.

Yahoo's done some credible stuff in the past.
As far as anonymous sources go, that's 95% of information today. You can't just ignore it or only report stuff where people go on the record. It's not realistic.

But it creates the push for media members to be the first to report whether or not it is true. That's how the news is reported these days.. they hear something and run with it whether their sources are legit or not.

It's a fair point. But I think the articles I've seen on this particular subject have been fair by repeatedly stating 'if it's true', etc.
'One anonymous source' might be a player on the team irritated by the preferential treatment. It might be Rich Rodriguez. We have to leave it up to the original reporter to determine if the content might be relevant and true. And as much as I hate the douchebag opinion writers on Yahoo, past performance deems I at least give it the good possibility it might be true.

It's usually the slow period in college football, but thanks to OSU and the SEC, there's still stuff to talk about.
Tressel emailed Pryor's mentor the information without telling the NCAA or the school. It's now gone from possible to probable that Tressel won't be coaching at OSU again.

Going to be a special on HBO tonight about boosters from LSU, OSU, Michigan and....Auburn giving cash payments to prospects and players. Some also claim prostitution, a bit similar to what may have happened at Tennessee under Kiffen (Tennessee Pride).
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=6272478
And finally the Fiesta Bowl may soon go back down to being the irrelevant bowl it once was. The CEO was fired, and the BCS is apparently demanding that they explain why they should continue to be a premier bowl.
Rumor has been for awhile that if a BCS slot would open up, the Chick-fil-A Bowl would be a front-runner.

Glad HBO found 4 disgruntled, broke players that used to play for Auburn. Raven Gray didn't even play for Auburn because he couldn't cut it at practice, so he quit. Chaz Ramsey lost a lawsuit against Auburn, no axe to grind? The other 2 are just broke and dumb.

Chick-fil-A brr brr Bowl? Doubtful. My bet is on Cotton Bowl in Jerry World.

That's the new player in town, but the Peach/CFA people have been running a very successful operation for awhile. It also helps that they know how to seat people. Besides, Dallas gets as cold or colder.
You'd have to look at the contracts, too. I think the CFA Bowl comes up for renewal with the conferences sooner.

i'd watch... oregon has become one of my fav. teams to watch... so having LSU on sat. and Oregon on Sunday works perfect for me...
but they meet up in the first game of the season.. so its all purple and gold that day
and if the NFL DOES sit this coming season, they wont get my views/money for 2012..

Statute of limitations I believe is four years, or so I was told.
As for April, this was being talked about several months ago. I believe Ronnie Brown was telling them to STFU.
But it doesn't matter, this happens at every major football school. It's not really news for those who hear the scuttlebutt.

Going back to the Fiesta Bowl, I read an article the other day that listed the top 5 alternatives the BCS would look at. It's basically this article, but I think it was on ESPN and better written.
http://www.examiner.com/college-foot...rite-if-needed
The original article had (I think this is the right order):
1) Jerryworld
2) Capital One
3) Fiesta
4) CFA
5) Outback
I get all of those except for Orlando. The stadium is crappy, the field has been crappy for years...I just don't see it.
The other reason I'd move Atlanta up is everyone forgets the CFBHOF is coming here, they'd love to have a Tier 1 bowl to go with it.
