You're damn right. I'm in Korea right now and just watched the game with over 50,000 people in front of the city hall. I took some pictures from hotel (friends booked one for me and we had my b-day party there ) it was best place to watch the game+sight, you don't see these that often

from outside

inside the room

after half-time;

all the way to the end of the road lol

Sorry with the quality. I took it with my camera phone.

I love that Germany is not just sitting back and defending even though it's the 1/8th final.. This is what soccer should be like.

Red card for Sweden.

Anyone remember this referee? What an idiot.

I could bet money that Frings will get a red too in this game.

I just checked the statistics on a German website:

Shots - Germany 13 to 4

Touches on the ball - Germany 345 to 225

Posession - 61 to 39 for Germany

% of 50 - 50 balls won - Germany 66 to 34

I think the best part is how Swedish players were saying that they'd rather play Germany than Ecuador.

He was the same referee who handed out 3 red cards in the U.S. game. That second yellow for Sweden was barely a foul, let alone a second yellow. That guy is an idiot.

What I like is how Germany isnt afraid to shoot the ball. I've noticed with a lot of teams that the players will wait until the last possible second before taking a shot. Germany is on the ball and firing them away.

Moddafukkin penalty for Sweden for nothing.

Missed. Well good thing he missed because it would have started a lot of debates.

Shot by Ballack hits the post.

So far Germany looks more impressive than any other team in the tournament.

Are you kidding? There was VERY LITTLE contact. This is soccer not basketball. You don't give a penalty for something like that.

Man what a terribly dissappointing end for the Koreans. They should've scored at least one goal during the last five minute or first thirty minutes in the second half. All that pressure with no result.

Also, Korea should've been awarded a free penalty kick when a Swiss player made contact with the ball with his arms, and they should'nt have conceded the the offside goal. Clearly, the refs are on some kind of drugs....

But then again, I guess it was about time the Koreans got the short end of the stick from the refs.

lol "kick"

If that was a kick, then we'd have about 10 penalties every game.

No.

Germany hits post again.

24 to 5 shots so far says pretty much everything. The Swede goalie is playing pretty impressive.

Germany won't stand a chance against Argentina

Argentina vs. Brazil in the final.

Also, a little hind-site bias, but...

1. I can't believe I actually planned on going to Europe, I guess priorities really changed (1st post)
2. I did not expect the Czechs, Serbs, and Croats to play so poorly.

I want to see that offsides call again...stupid ESPN not showing enough replays...call seemed a little questionable.
