Where'd you source the LEDs?

And do you find the rear view camera works as well with the LED reverse lights? In my wagon, I keep thinking that the LEDs aren't as good as the incandescent I took out. Either they're too bright and are causing the camera to blow out the image, or it's the wavelength that is unfavorable to the sensor.

I'd like to replace all the lights in the truck soon and like how yours are shaping up.
Thanks man, the trick with the backup cam is to adjust the brightness and contrast to work with the LED bulbs, they work better and the camera is so much clearer with the brighter LED bulbs

I got my LED kit from here, actually more on sale than when I bought them

And I don't have a dedicated thread on T4R yet, but I probably should start one, I had one for the other ones

you should update your high beams to LED while keeping the lows as HID. I was reluctant at first to get LED headlights but the ones I have now are just as bright as 55W HIDs. I love the fact they are instant on so they actually of use when you need to fire the high beams right away.

Yeah, I'm still debating on the high beams / LED, apparently the highs will show a beam out without canbus connectors, plus I have the 32" LED bar for behind the grille so I don't really need super high beams. I had dual highbeams with my projector retro on my last truck and I barely used it, seemed like a waste after putting that LED bar down there

Finally got the new speaker adapters in, took over a month and I'm very frustrated with the vendor whom I've sent tons of business to, but it's aggravating that the speakers are just this far off that I had to buy all new adapters, but finally they're here now that it's 30 deg and it's too cold to work on the truck outside...

The holes are just off enough on the 6x9's, so frustrating

Why did you need specialized brackets? I have not had an issue with the cheap Metras I have used for years. (I ended up with a Tundra that hope does not have an issue with the Metras)

Never had a good experience with the Metras, and I couldn't even find a Metra for the 6x9's when I was looking. I've had my other speaker brackets in my other 2 4Runners, I was hoping that they would be the same and bolt right in but unfortunately the holes for the 6x9's were just enough off, I'm using my old brackets for the rear hatch so I wanted a full set of solid good brackets for the doors since I plan to keep this truck for a while. Ended up wasting a month waiting for these to be CNC'd and had to postpone my tint until the spring because it's too cold now to bother doing it even if I do get the speakers in one of these days.

I did the Tundra this mornng. It was nowhere near close and I ordered new ones suposedlyf or the Tundra. The lucky thing was the speakers bolt off the base so I was able to use that.

Tried to install my new Morimoto Elite HID kit, but realized that the bulbs I ordered wouldn't fit in the side mount projectors so had to return them. Got lucky and my old HID bulbs from my last 08 4Runner did work and snapped right in so I went with those until I can get a new set from TRS. Either way, I just wanted to get everything hooked up when I actually had a nice warm winter day before it got cold.

Before, stock halogens....

After with the old bulbs from my last truck

Yep, I researched them quite a bit, the potential to melt the headlight housing, especially with these dust covers was enough to scare me away, since it's brand new and I have a warranty. I'm more than happy with HID's and have used them for well over a decade so I stick to what I know. Besides, I have a 32" LED bar, if I really need to see I flip that sucker on, at least once it's installed...

LEDs in your Tundra? I just drove and installed some leather in my sister's 2016 Tundra and the headlights are terrible, don't LEDs scatter pretty badly?

Sorry for going OT, don't ban me

Christmas present for the truck, replacing the crappy overpriced OEM rubber mats with some real floor liners. I'm a huge WeatherTech fan and had them in my last 2 4Runners, but I just was not a fan of the coverage that the WT's offer, or the reviews, so I went with the Huskies

Before Driver's

New

Before Passenger

After

I didn't bother putting the backs in yet because no one usually sits back there, but I'll get to it tomorrow or the next day. Just had to see how these bad boys fit. Very impressed with the coverage!

Those look great, I got Maxliners for the Tundra, they had better reviews than Weathertech and were 45 less. (They look very similar to those)

Nice, the Husky liners get better reviews than the WTs for the F150, too. Another thing on my to-do list for the truck, eventually.

Congrats on the new T4R, I picked up a 17 TRD OR with KDSS back in August.

Do you have other mods planned?

It's on the cheaper end of the list for sure, along with adding homelink.
Really want to put a Bak MX4 on it, but not in the budget for now.

Even though the temps are in the single digits, and windchill is below zero, I had to wash her and get all the salt off from our trip in the snowstorms back from Detroit last week. A clean truck is a happy truck!

Homelink is another must, the GF and I programmed my and her homelinks yesterday, she was super happy with it and how easy it is on her subbie and my truck

that Ford doesn't include it on a barely sub-$50k truck. Only standard on the Lariat & up.
Luckily, it's just replace the driver's sunvisor & run a power wire for the Homelink & lit vanity mirror.
