x2 on the three-car garage. I put up some Home Depot 8' cabinets in our third bay, along with all the bikes and lawn/outdoor power equipment. Nice to have that extra space and not risk anything falling over onto the cars, like ladders, lacrosse d-poles, etc.

WTF was up with traffic this morning on 26 east?! my usual commute to work takes about 45-50 mins with only some slowing down. Today i was at a stop right at 185th, took me 1hr 20mins to get to work, i was late 20 mins! boss was like maybe you should leave a lil earlier and be prepared for this. I was like i do leave early! (a freakin hour and 15 mins early!) not everyone lives 4 miles away from work. Shoot, even he's late sometimes. One time he came all the way to work with sandles on and didn't notice til he got here so he had to turn around and get his shoes bs.

^ i heard lots of complaints about the traffic. i dont see why some work places make a big deal the one time youre late when they know you are on time a majority. i know a previous company i worked for was really anal about it.. im glad where i am now is nothing compaired to it.. they are alot more understanding here

My wife was stuck in the same mess this morning. She got to work 10 minutes late, but that's only because she leaves home a whole hour before her 8am start time.

Me, I'm rarely ever late, but that's because I leave home at 5:20am. No traffic snarls eastbound on the Sunset this morning. I made my 17 mile trip to SW Portland in 18 minutes.

some peeps just cant drive which causes everyone else to slow down cause of it..

left foot brakers..
people who cant merger
people who slow down cause other cars are getting on the highway are my biggest upsets then followed by people who just drive plain ass slow in the left lane.. if you know people are passing you then you need to move the F over or speed the F up..

by the way back road drivers are my other complaints.. the DMV handbook states if you have more then 3 vehicles following you and you are holding up that line you need to pull the F over and let them pass

We have 3 women in the office that make the 26 eastbound trip into north PDX. They were all in it t this morning and took from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes for the usual 30 minute drive in.

On the same route when I come in at 6:30 am there is little traffic. And driving home at 4 to 4:30 pm there is less traffic than 5 - 5:30 pm. If you have the option, you'll never regret doing the earlier commute

2 of them show up late on a daily basis though and yes, it is a problem. But those once in a whiles are not a problem at all here.

I personally hate the people who when on an onramp, trying to get onto a highway or interstate, are stupid and don't realize they need to speed up to meet the flow of traffic before they merge. I can't tell you how many times I've had to slow down to about 45 MPH on I-205 because the soccer mom in the onramp won't speed up before she merges. I know her lane is about to end, and she'll need to switch over in front of me, but she refuses to get out of 3rd gear....

You'd probably think "well just speed up and pass them before they merge. Yeah, tried that. Once I punch the gas and try to fly by them, THEN they speed up as if they're trying to get in front of me... still not merging, though. Like it's an act of desperation or something on their part.

Anyways I took my car to Tonkin Acura a week ago for a timing belt, and they kinda messed up a little bit on my CAI. The pipe is supposed to have clearance and not be resting on anything or touching anything in the engine bay. However when I drove I heard a pretty noticeable rattling noise. Turns out they had my intake adjusted so the pipe was resting on the piece the intake resonator usually sits under... it was just bouncing on that thing for about 50-60 miles.... got a pretty noticeable mark on it (no crack).

Should I tell them about it, or am I just splitting hairs?

did you put on your intake? shouldnt be to hard to just loosen the clamps and readjust it so its not resting on there. or did they mess up and not put one of those rubber bushings that hold it into place back on?

Yeah, was either S2000 or TL...found a 6MT in beautiful shape I couldn't pass on. After having a J32A2 in the Civic for 2 years, I just HAD to keep that same drivetrain somehow....

Yeah but I guess when they did my timing belt, they for whatever reason took my CAI out. And yeah that's what I did. Just loosened the clamps and turned the pipe clockwise a little bit. The pipe was resting on a little corner or edge and was bouncing around on it, making a pretty audible rattling noise when my car was idling.

I mean the pipe isn't cracked or anything, but it did leave a kind of chip mark or something. Hopefully it's not deeper than the paint.

ist it still touching if so get some double sided sticky tape it will help the rubbing and keep it in place alittle better

Nah not touching anymore It's got good clearance now.

Also, has anyone ever installed headers themselves? Thinking about getting a set of DC Sport Headers for my CL.

ive done my shar of header install..

i have a DC header on my car the TSX DC headers have issues with the flex pipe. im not sure for your car if there are known issues.. i know on my 93 civic hb it was a great header i think its 13 years old now and its just starting to get a small air leak where the weld is..(per my bro-inlaw) so i would do some research on it first before you make a commitment on getting it to make sure there are no known issues

Because started working for this company years ago thinking i wasnt going to stay that long but ended up staying lol. And also that i bought a home down here. Anyhow, i will eventually move up here when the old lady finishes up her nursing clinicals, just not in hillsboro.

You would be suprised how many people from salem commute to and from hillsboro. One of my neighbors work for intel across the street from my work.
