We don't need to bleed them really, just new pads. Should be able to get it to 100K on the ODO before needing to bleed.

It's not too bad if you take Germantown. So if you're at your Arco, you just hit 217, get off at Barnes, head up to skyline, hang a left on skyline at the cemetery and then follow to Germantown, make a right on Germantown and when you reach the end you're basically at Brandon's. Takes me about 15 ~ 20 minutes depending on bikers

Will do. I think any road is clogged these days during the traffic.

Meanwhile.. I got this yesterday and installed it right away
Almost screwed up installing the driver front, because I didn't even bother to take a look at the instruction.

Ack brakes still making that sound, only the passenger side though. Brandon, do you think that the rotor needs to be turned because of that lip forming on the inside?

i ws think it as i was reading it..ya i think it is.. it has a pretty big indent on it.. and you might as well get both sides done when you do it.. problem is i dont know if it would still be in spec if they do turn them.. you would have to take them off and bring them into baxters or something and see what they say.. or just pick up some new ones..

finished my mold after you left.. turned out pretty good =)

Did you break in the pads? And if your still running on stock rotors at that mileage, its better to have the rotors turned or buy new ones. But now days, price difference between turning and new isn't that much. I paid like $30 per rotor (front) for generic oem replacement.

Speed Concept recently bought a turning machine for the rotors. Probably they'll do the job cheaper than what NAPA will charge.

Yea.. all that hassle of taking off the rotor, taking it to NAPA, waiting to get it turned.. That's why I just bought the new ones.

And which mold you starting? DBW cover?

That mold stuff smelled so bad! But the spark cover looked awesome, every bit as good as the ones heel toe has. If Min doesn't take it I have dibs :P.

I'll call up speed and see what they'll do. 30$ for a replacement isn't bad though.

30 isnt bad at all.. cheaper then 60 dollar pads that you dont need =)

do you remember how to take off your rotors? its just the 2 17mm bolts, then hang the calipers to the side.. you need a soft mallet and a impact driver for the rotor screws.. impact drivers are semi cheap maybe 20? and then your rotor is off.. pretty simple stuff send me a text if you have questions.. or call me

ya doing the DBW cover Min.. need to clean it and sand then polish.. then she is done and ready for part making

Sorry, forgot to reply to this before.

Anyways, I was reading up the instructions on the box of Injen cleaner and it says to "remove filter from housing" before cleaning The housing? Are they just trying to say to remove it from where it's located in the car? For a minute I thought they were talking about the black rubber pieces attached to the filter.

If you are buying a pneumatic impact wrench, spend the money and get a good dual impact model. I have a cheap one and it's only good for small jobs. You can find them used at most pawn shops for half the retail.

god i hate this app! m

good impact driver is a must for that bitch rotor screws. don't even try to take that screw off without the impact driver. you'll end up having to drill out the rotor screws

ya im guessing it mean from the area its located.. they are sure vague about it.. but you dont remove the rubber unless you want to buy a new filter =) ive been thinking of upgrading my filter to an oilless one then all you need to do is just wash it

Anyone on here a big coffee drinker? ordered a pound of this stuff

http://www.deathwishcoffee.com/

They claim it to be the "strongest coffee in the world" with 200% more caffeine then a normal cup of joe. Guess will find out when it arrives.

Saw a guy in a black 2012 VW Eos with the top down this morning on hwy26. Not unusual in itself as many new convertible owners go through that, "What's the point of having a convertible if you don't drive with the top down!" phase. Nothing wrong with that I suppose...

except if you have to cover your head with your hoodie!

yep...that is why I don't own a motorcycle either. Had one when I was 18.

Have you ever felt a rain drop hit your neck at 55-60 mph?
feels like a rock.

I am not going to bother with removing the rotor, I'll just have the brake shop do it. I don't care to have my car on stands while I wait, then have to reinstall them and blah blah. Plus don't want to buy any new tools

chris if you bring them to my house we can just jack them up and take them to a shop... i think turning them is usually 15 bucks a rotor.. might be cheaper? better then paying a shop to do it.. atleast you know its not killing anything to wait another weekend of 2 to get them done..

I regretted not having the rotors on my Integra turned On The Car. Apparently Honda rotors require the use of an "on car brake lathe."
