Install is getting done at dealer. The pre-install dyno is scheduled for Sept. 16th, early AM. You are welcome to join me. But would you rather wait for the post-install dyno? You can also witness both if you like -- maybe do a vid.

So im assuming that it will still be NBP once it leaves the shop. Also, you might want to consider getting a clear bra for the front-end of your car, if you haven't already. Quite a few guys here have that (i bet Gary has covered his whole car ) and i have seen how beneficial it is. Once i get my front-end repainted, i plan on putting one

yeah probably. though i can honestly state by experience that it's not always your own fault if u get keyed. when mine got vandalized, it was totally random. some kids just doin stupid , i can imagine a bunch of 16-year-olds all crammed in a civic dryvin around egging and keying cars at random. oh well, at least it was nothing worse

True, our car did get egged once and it was just random, because other cars were egged as well. Also, there are always haters that are jealous. You just gotta roll with it.

No but I wish I had... something like a car condom... And I can attest to the fact it's already paid for itself in preventing some major rockchips.

Ok then -- be prepared for an early morning arrival... around 6:45AM at your place. I want to be at CT near 8AM.

The other dyno is scheduled for the 30th.

I know Hammer got his done at Eclipse on Auburn Blvd. Basically its thick plastic stuck onto the car. It prevents rock chips as well as bird crap stains etc etc. not to mention swirlmarks So you better get it put on right after the car comes out of the shop

If car has been repainted, need to wait 90 days before install. You should also inform the paintshop that a clearbra is going to be installed over their paintjob.

interesting, why 90 days? probably to let the paint cure. Where you gettin' ur car painted at? They might do Clear-Bra'ing.

proper curing of paint... because there's always a chance the paint could lift during the clearbra install... so the paintshop can make sure they've prep'ed the car and shot the paint to the best of their ability to minimize the chances of paint lifting.

My CL doesn't have it, only my X. And it was $1100 retail for the X kit where I had it done. However, I paid significantly less than that -- less $400...

How thick is the paint on Jim's front end? 1/4"?

Maybe if all the rock throwers on the roadways put these on the vehicles, we would suffer from rockchips so much:

However, I couldn't find any that fit my CL or X.
