They are nice, but I would opt for the TE's.. After the TE's all the rims are heavier. If the polished lip is a must, then go for the LE's.

4 wheel steering won't be able until '08.

I've been looking high-low for straight on pics of TE's in silver but haven't found any yet. I believe the TE's also have better spoke/caliper clearance for BBKs. Also, I found a few places that sell center caps for them. Maybe mr. zizzles would be interested.

are you on adjustable struts? I'd tighten the suspension a bit, if not there's always SuperGlue!

After looking at your rims again Gary, I think you should wait a bit. Your current rims, although they are stock, are made by BBS right? Have you thought about the idea of getting them PowederCoated? I think that would be unique. Im not sure if you'll have a lip though

Gary - Instead of powder coating them, I think you should sell them to me

Correct... they are BBS forged and weigh less than 20LBS. I really like them for stock rims but I'm forced to stay with OEM tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE040) which are better than the OEMs that came with the CL but aren't anywhere near sticky enough for the X. So in order to go with better tires and/or a BBK, I need to upgrade to 18s. I'm leaning toward LE37Ts in silver or TE37.

That would help fund the new rims... However, I promised myself this time around to save all of the OEM parts off of the X. The only OEM stuff I have left from the CL modding are the blank front vents and brakelines. Everything else was sold.

Guess what? Acura of Concord called me today and they said they are going to replace my '05 TL!!!! They stated that this is good will since I am a client and they want me to be 100% satisfied. I asked them how much it's going to cost me, and they said "not a single penny" .

Obviously, I am taking that statement with a grain of salt. I am meeting the dealership manager at 1 pm on Friday (thank god I work from home on Fridays) along with my legal representation (my bro).

If I get the car replaced then, I will have to go easy on the twisties .

i dont remember what exactly happened, but it must have been somethin pretty major to get your whole car replaced. Good job for being persistent and not backing down. I have a feeling our 3rd Gen TL has the most miles for being and 05

Hehehe. Well, to sum up the probem:

-Strange humming / drone coming from driver side between 30 - 35 mph ~1500 rpm. Sounds louder when the car has been outside overnight.

-First Trip - Tech heard the sound and said it's the transmission spinning

-Second Trip - Same tech hears it again, but louder this time. Replaces Heat Shield, then replaces transmission, then replaces both front and back catalytic converters (~20 days at the dealership)

-Third Trip - New tech, heard the sound. Switched out P -zeros with Turanzas, sound is still there.

There you have it, '05 TL with 1100 miles.
