Since the pad doesn't rotate when there's weight on it (it oscillates), I put a microfiber polishing cloth under the pad for the final touch. You can even use the Z6 or Z8 or some other Final Detailer spray.

Great!

Thanks for the info, I can't wait to get one and mess with it Any idea where you can get one for cheap?

Did you try using a good pair of vise-grips (medium to large size)?

Put me on the list. Thanks.

Does anyone have Tein Coilover? I just bought a basic Tein coilver in incredible cheap price. I'm not sure whether to keep them or sell them and get a SS Tein coilover. What do you guys think?

Ravi and Bo have Teins SS's. You should ask them. I think that either way you can't go wrong, just depends on how much flexibility and adjustability you want

That's what happened to the one side. I just used the Impact gun to pop the bolt off.

For getting rid of swirl marks and bringing out a shine a mile deep, you can't beat it. And it's pretty much mistake-proof for a novice. Saves a lot of time and sweat.

Here's my hood after I polished it up with the PC 7424 and Zaino. Notice the clear bra on the front half? It's normally impossible to photograph the clear bra as it is invisible from a few feet away but I caught the light just right.

Looks like a new avatar

Bigger 18" wheels and rubber, Toyos of course. Then bigger brakes to go with the wheels, probably lowering springs at that time also.

There is a stage one HP upgrade, that costs $1K and adds 40-50 HP and 60TQ.

That should get me started.

All in due time, maybe I'll drive it stock for a little while so I can really feel the difference. It jumps pretty good now when the turbo kicks in.

Even at 6000rpm, you're faster than most things out there Do they have any ideas why? Unichip?

Still chasing down parts. I went to pick-a-part last weekend to pull some parts out of a 85 turbo they had there a few weeks prior. I get there and they had already scrapped it. I was so pissed. They had about 6 other NA's there and they chose to scrap their one and only turbo??? I got a message from some guy in Visalia that may want to go halves on a parts car. Toughest part for me to find so far is the turbo engine crossmember. As this thing gets older, parts are getting tougher to find - specifically the turbo conversion parts. I think i'm going to test fit some items this weekend and see if I can use a Z32 pully. If I can work through that one, I'll be pretty happy. Everything else will be a piece of cake.

Maybe they intentionally limited you to 6000rpm to keep you out of trouble until you got use to all the zizzle. Seriously, hope it gets resolved for you.

Maybe Mr Zizzle broke the Tach. I don't think Nissan ever expected the 350Z to rev so fast

When you finish your Project Z, are you going to bring it to any meets? That car is a classic and deserves our admiration.
