I read a news report tonight that bands of armed thugs are attacking the relief convoys for food, water and medicine. Sounds like the area has turned into something like a MadMax/RoadWarrior movie.

Don't forget that they've added Rape to their list of crimes. They say some of those people stayed behind specifically to take advantage of the situation. Scum of the earth. I hope they catch a disease for all their efforts

Not too many Presidents have had to deal with such major events during their administration.

Unfortunately, they are everywhere. Same thing happened in SF and LA when some major earthquacks hit, some people showed their true colors and started looting and attacking firefighters and police.

I heard one report that said that with the cleaner air from all the environmental improvements, global warming has increased. With less crud in the air, less of the suns rays are being filtered and more energy is actually making it down to the surface.

The buck stops in the oval office. I surely wouldn't want to be in his shoes. And no matter who's in office, when thing go wrong in the world, even if the prez has nothing to do with it, he gets blamed in some form or fashion.

Ah oh, look out El Presidente...

The pollutant levels may have been down from last year, but still global warming is on an upward trend, regardless of the amount of pollution, it is still contributing to the TOTAL pollution.

Yeah that's very true. I don't want to be in his shoes either, but I mean before this whole catastrophe, look how much emphasis was put on our projects outside the US. Its time that we take interest in our country and start worrying about our problems.

Don't forget that the Sun's surface temp has increased over the last century several degrees. Don't you think this would have a bigger affect on warming?

It's been idle for a little bit. However, I've been doing lots of yard work over the last several weeks. Does that count?

:ouch: My max so far has been around $42.50 for a fill up. At those prices, I'd be at $60. How much is gas in Portland?
