The car is not jacked up LOL.. but it has not settled down yet either... but even when its settled it'll still look way too high. Looks like a revamped 4x4 with no tires

man what a weekend. got my JL audio CleanSweep on friday, i got to install it on saturday by removing the center console and look around for a place to stick this thing and no space so i take apart the drivers side under dash, no space because my alarm is there, take apart the passenger side underdash, no space because the ventilation system is there, remove the glovebox, no space behind or anywhere near it. so i finally determine that it HAS to go INSIDE my glovebox but theres a problem with that... i have my crossovers for my front component speakers in there so i had to remove them, and relocate those to the trunk which in turn means i have to reroute and rewire my ENTIRE system pretty much. so i essentially gutted my entior interior except for the front seats... garage is full of parts and i spend all day saturday rewiring my entire setup. while attempting a test to make sure the cleansweep worked i find out that something is wrong with the harness i made. i decided to make a plug and play harness for this thing instead of tapping into the OEM harness, i really didnt want to mess with that so i took my time and soldered together a clean new harness for the cleansweep. something in it doesnt work so i spent hours troubleshooting. by saturday night i get it working.
sunday i wake up early to "finish" up. zip tied wires, ran 3 new RCA cables from the trunk to the front. interior is still in a million pieces. decide that while im at it i should change out my cabin filters since i have the glovebox removed anyways. run down to the dealership and pick up a pair and swap those in. then i go about installing my new ipod connector and splicing into the cigarette lighter for power and running the new cabling for that. my old setup was pretty ghetto so i decided to replace it.. then i decide that i want to change the location of my remote wire from its current fuse which is the AC/heater/cooling fan fuse (2nd click of the key) to the new remote wire i have coming out of my radio via my new harness so i finish that up. i finally get the system up and running for some tests... get things calibrated... smile on my face because of how amazing this makes my existing setup sound... night and day difference...
then i notice something bad.... my car is severely overheating while im doing these audio calibrations in the driveway. im talking about needle ON the H. i shut the car off and i hear a fan running... my radiator fan is on full blast... but the car is off, no key.... this is totally nuts because my car has never done this. so i spend hour and a half checking EVERY single fuse, none are blown... confused as fuk i think and think and think as to what i could have done during my AUDIO install to cause my ENGINE to overheat!? decide to disconnect batter, reset ecu... nothing. then i saw what the hell... let me wiggle the fuse and BAM it worked for a split second... so i fiiiiiiinally determined that the fuse's leads werent making a proper connection in the fuse box because of that old fuse tap i had wedged in there before. the fuse seems like it fit fine, was nice and solid but i guess not. so i add some solder to the leads of the fuse to thicken it up and got it working finally.
bad news is that my car is STILL in pieces right now because of all the delays i encountered with the harness and the radiator fan issue... i literally spent hours troubleshooting both problems which ate up all my day time light so now im going onto my 3rd day for this JL Audio Cleansweep installation but man the improvement in sound is well worth this weekend full of headaches .
ugh, sorry, just had to vent out my terrible weekend.
