^^^^Looks like I've got some work to do lol.

Within the next few weeks I'm going to attempt to cut open my tailights and interchange some parts. Idk if I'm going to go with my all black like my previous set or the type s bezel with 07-08 internals, what do you guys think?. no longer have the black wheels

I'm thinking cookout weather permitting, but if it looks like the cookout won't work then we can just go to BWW

The first one is my favorite, but I guess it all depends on what kind of rims you have, are you going back to stock or just something different?

I have the stock 07-08 base wheels. Won't be getting another pair for a while probably. If I do they'll probably be bronze or silver

Just for the sake of ease - let's say this first outing is BWW? It's too hard to get everyone to bring stuff "just in case". Just my thought

Be careful, i have personally seen it remove the factory finish when it starts peeling off. Then you have bare spots and some black spots. I would either polish them (which could be free) or just have them powder coated.

Welcome!

I would get the ZDX and modify it to resemble RonJon Sport Design's concept

Powder coating them is not an option for me especially since I just spend 400 dollars doing a rear brake job on my girls grand Prix, I might just end up painting them. They are the stock rims and have some curb checks on them so sanding and painting is a cheap way to go.

I've had some very great success painting OEM rims in the past. One of my first cars was a Dodge Daytona. They have an OEM honeycomb style wheel, that I color matched to the vehicle, keeping the grey accents by taping off and exacto'ing all of the shapes.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect that you would get good results, and it wouldn't be that tough to redo them every couple of years if you so desired.

One step closer to being ready for the meet. I received and installed my rear aspec lip, compliments the ATLP exhaust nicely. Next step is to start my taillight project

You're doing the timing belt water pump and whatever else the 105k service is yourself? You'll have to let me know how that goes. I don't really want to pay $1200 some are being quoted to have the dealer do it.

I CANT pay that kind of money ( I dont get a tribal check...) so I ordered the parts from Kaleb (wholesalepartsguy) at Hansel Acura in No. Cali. for $295.00

Here is the thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/complete-timing-belt-kit-special-%24295-763445/

I also called around for Labor pricing:

Bloomington Acura - ~623.95

Buerkle Acura - ~650.00

Walser Honda - ~580.00

FullBlown Motorsports - ~500.00

Nate, I called Krenzen honda in Duluth for you:

Labor - ~510.00

If you all have the extra money to pay someone to do it for you then you will save a few hundred bucks if you buy the parts and then take them to a shop.

Corporate shops like Firestone or Precision Tune wont take your parts because of warranty. So you can go to a dealer or find Bob's brokedown backyard autoshop.
