Wow, I didn't know 'Business Analyst' was a 'high falootin job title'. Sure, why not, should I just tell them that you like small Asian women and alcohol, in no particular order? What job are you going for anyway?

Naw man... 3'0", maybe 3'2" - now that's the perfect size. You have to measure from the knees to the top of her head though.....

Otherwise you can't find them shirts anywhere

ASUJosh, idk if you cared if you got an auto or stick, but they are offering great deals right now on 08 G35xs. You can get either the 17s or 18s in wheel sizes, navi, other features, so it would be similarly equipped to your old TL (a little luxury) while still offering great handeling and AWD for the winter. 306hp and 0-60 in 5.4 seconds doesnt hurt either.

Just somthing you could look at if you wanted. Pretty sure you can pick one up for close to 30k now with a 40k MSRP. They also have great lease deals if you wanted to get somthing new in a couple years.

Thanks for the info, but I am pretty much sold on the STi at this point. Unless I drive something new that just knocks my socks off, I am going to try and buy an STi once I get my tax return back.

The biggest problem with the G35 is that it is really heavy and I am really looking for a race car that I can drive to the grocery store. That was the problem with the TL as well, had good power, but it was just too damn heavy and also had the automagic that doesn't do so well at an Autocross. I mean, I whooped a guy in a G35S about midway through the season and he had more experience than I did.

They are nice looking cars though.

Ill give you that. They are a bit of a porker.

Doesnt hurt to drive one though, just for the hell of it

And was that G35S you beat, light blue like mine?

The one that was at the race was a dark silver or light grey color. It was a really nice looking car, but the race was at Midway (small track) and it was having a really hard time making the transitions.

Business Analyst is what I am working my way up to I started as a lacky and worked my way up to Clerk and I am now an Adminstrator. Although everytime I look at Business Analyst positions in the paper or online requirements are a BS and 2-5 years exp. So I might have to upgrade from having an AAS someday if I want to get to the next level in my career. Or I suppose I could try to get licensed as a Therapist then take my Analyst abilitys and become the worlds first Analrapist. Ok I stole that from Arrested Development.

Have you looked at a 911, Cayman or a Nissan GTR? Or are those not allowed in the class of autocross you want to do? Or if you wanted to go all out and you just wanted a fun no frills car the Ariel Atom would kick ass at the track.

911 is my dream car, but unfortunately, the backseat is made for leprechauns and not humans. The cayman has no backseat what-so-ever, and the GTR is about double what I am looking to spend. All good suggestions though.

Besides, if I showed up to an event with Godzilla, I would be mobbed with requests for a co-drive.

What kind of BA work are you interested in? And where are you working today? BA at Target is more of a Project Manager than a true BA. I occasionally do BA work, but mostly it is all PM.

I am not currently into having a kid, but we are married and accidents DO happen, so we should not go out and purchase a two-seater. Besides, I enjoy being able to drive for a night out, and take stuff with me when I go somewhere with friends.

If I remember correctly, the STi was .02 seconds faster than the EVO around the track in the Top Gear test.

If you read a few posts back, you will see that I tried to drive an EVO and the guys at the dealer were a bunch of asshats. And for the record, that is Metro Mitsu where they were a bunch of douche-bags.

Well, after sitting in an EVO I just didnt like it nearly as much. So, for .02 seconds, I'll go with the Subaru that I actually like the interior of. I do like the exterior of the EVO, but the inside sucks and the seats are made for people your size. This does not help me since I am about the size of two of you.

As for getting around, I am getting rides from neighbors, Matt, my buddy Kaleb and Jorge. I really don't go anywhere though, so it hasn't been a real big deal yet. Groceries are probably the biggest issue and I can call up Lunds and have it delivered. I did have to bum a car to go to United Noodle last week, let me know when your mom is going so that I can tag along .

Seeing that video I like the EVO. Those 2 Subis were out drifting in the parking lots again last night here. I watched em for like 20 minutes from my window. So smooth and awesome.

I don't like what cars are starting to look like.. they are looking to rounded and family friendly.. like the new evos are rounded everywhere, and have plastic (i think, it looks like it) in the front bumper.. evos are supposed to be badass rally cars.. maybe its just me

Razzi, you seen Gran Torino yet? It's all about your peeps!

And yes, you are correct, there are no S badges in Mpls any longer. Maybe one of you should buck up and get yourself a fat ride?

I have an 07 TL Type-S. Top Gear is my favorite show on TV. I usually don't watch shows more than once but the episode of Top Gear where they try to make cars into boats and Clarkson's Toyota Hylux that he called "ToyBoata" almost makes it to the finish and it rolls over is classic. Oh and the one where they go caravaning and burn the camper down is great to.

I'm not sure. I currently run queries every month to see sales and purchases year over year to see changes in the market. So I like that part of the job but when the actual Business Analyst position opened at my current employer I interviewed with the VP of Operations and he said that my technical background was good but I was lacking the financial background.

One thing to note is that a BA in one company and a BA in another can have totally different roles. Here, as a Project Manager, I am responsible for the schedule, the budget, the resources, workload and generally everything about the project. There are some areas here that the BA is just involved for gathering requirements and business value for a project and then their involvement is mostly paperwork after that. It really all depends on where you are and who your manager is.

But, I am also an IT BA so I don't worry about sales or purchases or anything like that. I mostly keep up with that because the health of the company determines what kinds of projects we get to do.

I do, kind of. I am a project manager in the IT organization working with Marketing partners. So, I run technical projects like new development, package installs, stuff like that. I have been getting more and more into the strategic side of it lately and have been liking that a lot.

Repo is out of state, so it would require some travel, but if the deal is what it appears, it would be worth it.
