Wow, found the MN crew. How's it going guys. I'm Nate, I'm from Cloquet, if you don't know where that is, I'm about 20 minutes south of Duluth. I don't own a TL yet but I'm on a search for one. I'm actually going to the cities tomorrow and stopping at White Bear Acura Subaru, Buerkle Acura, and Bloomington Acura Subaru to test drive and check out some of the TL's

That's where I bought my Acura and everytime I go in for service I visit with my salesman John Weinland, I think I got the last name wrong but it is close, he's a great guy and we laugh about when I bought my old TSX how there was a hardcore porn magazine in the trunk hidden between the trunk tray and the floor. I highly recommend this dealership when I bought my car the F&I manager didn't even try to push the worthless undercoating, window etching or fabric protectant that most dealers do. If John is there and he helps you make sure to mention his old nickname of "El Camino" and you heard it from Max at Brock White he'll get a laugh out of that.

I'm not too hot about driving a red car, so I have been playing with the idea of doing a vinyl wrap. I mocked this one up this evening for the fun of it. Flat black with a matte red Subaru logo.

hey i need some help from you comp savvy guys.

i wanna hook my laptop up to my tv so my folks can watch tennis on bigger screen. no HDMI so that doesnt work for me.

the laptop has an HDMI and a VGA port. so i bought this thing that plugs into the VGA and outputs into RCA, the red yellow and white wires. i hooked those up to my TV and it didnt do anything.

are the settings that im supposed to put the laptop into or should it have automatically output the signals?

Go into your display properties and extend your desktop to the 2nd monitor, that should do it.

I'm hoping that since the design will be so simple it will be closer to the $1500 than $2500 that I have seen quoted. I'm just not that into having a red car.

I have a few more pics. But most of them are of the G...

Im pleased though. We owned all those 'superior german cars' (that had snow tires) with our FWD and AWD asian cars on all seasons haha

Not to rain on your parade, but more accurately you owned those other drivers. I doubt any of you really put your cars to the test on ice without studded tires.

What josh said, or easier yet - there should be a function + Fsomething key to change the display from the LCD to external. With Josh's way of extending the desktop, you'd have to be sure that what you're trying to look at is on the correct screen (since you would have 2 working).

Either way though. Usually it's either Function and F5 or F7 - should have a little picture of 2 monitors on the key to tell you.

damn that looks like fun.

my headlights went out so i bought from some azine dude, been 2 weeks and the package is still apprently in cali according to tracking. so i'm kinda mad about it. cause i coulda bought from a vendor and have it on by now. it's gay having to work everythin around not having headlights, especially since it's so dark early.

on a brighter note, i have a cousin who works for buerkle acura. you guys wanna set up a big ole meet some time in late april or may? some official sponsorships as well as meeting other minnesotans who might not be as fanatical as we are

Did that truck have to pull you out? I always skidded in that spot, but managed to pull it out.

Booked my flights and rental car tonight, I'll be heading out on Thursday at the butt-crack of dawn to DC, driving to Waynesboro, VA., and then picking up the car and high-tailing it back here! I plan on crashing at a friend's house in Indianapolis on Thursday night and being here on Friday afternoon.

That'll give me plenty of time to wash and polish the new hot rod over the weekend!

Hello everyone, just joined Azine recently and still finding my way around. I recently started a thread in the general forum and was pointed to this thread to repost by a couple of MN boys.

so, its a pleasure to be here and I hope I'll get to know alot of you here.

Here was my post from before, any direction is a good direction

Minnesota Acura mechanics
Looking for mechanics that others have used in the twin cities area. Good experiances, bad experiances, recomendations. I did a few searches on the net but only came up with dealerships.

Not sure exactly what they do because they've done more than just air for me. It's in Blaine off 65 by my house. Owned by an older guy and his son. My dad's kind of buddies with him so we always use him. I store my car in the other half of his building sometimes.

thanks, checked out the link but it kinda looks like he does more aftermarket installs. have they done any actual mechanical work on your car?

a meet would be cool, but I want to get my service first. I'm trying not to drive until then, dont want to risk a detonation.

I'm a huge fan of North Country Tire. They have worked on a few of my cars, and they have always been more than reasonable when I have shopped around. They are in Blaine right off 65 and 119th? Maybe 121st? Somewhere around there.

Example, they charge $55 for their fee to look at your vehicle. Others are 90-100. I just had my wife's valve cover gastkets (with the 3 others.. i think it was TB, EGR, and something else), a tune up, and a TB cleaning all for $47x.xx

If you wanted to give them a call, let me know and i can give you their number. I started using them when I was getting semi-poor service from "garage mechanics". You pay a little more than the guy down the street that works in his back yard, but it's a full blown shop that has to racks and scopes that one needs to do the job right. Owners name is John - just ask for him. Tell him Brian sent ya if you do call. I fix his computers.
