Well on Friday night i will be dropping my car off at Dynamic to get the glassed sub enclosures and amp racks made. I decided to have it done when i wasn't going to be in town and did not need my car. I have seen this place do some good work. All i am going to have done is basic stuff to make it look like everything came with the car.

Damn, you are going back on sea duty and i am going to shore. The only difference is that i will be going to Great Lakes for mine. I get to go teach new engineers basic engineering. I like to teach people, so that is good, i just wish i did not have to go to Chicago to do it.

Yeah, I hate putting so many miles on my car...I've already got over 120k on it. It would have been cool to have 2 VA cars at the Jax meet though.

Damn, all the way to IL. I am going from a command on NAS Oceana (Base Weapons) all the way to another command on NAS Oceana (VFA-136). I just had to complete this school in Pensacola before I could go to the next command because they just got F/A-18E Super Hornets, so I have to learn about the new computer system that coincides with that. When do you transfer?

I've been here about a month and a half. There's not really much going on around here. I've gone to a few clubs and it's mostly kids there. Even on the 21 and up nights...it seems like a pretty young crowd to me, and I'm 27...it almost seems like they're high school kids or something. Other than that, I've been keeping to myself. Been hitting the gym a lot, trying to get in decent shape. Weekends I head to Mississippi to hand out with some friends there. It's decent down here I guess. The other problem is most of the people on base are 'A' school students...so I don't really even bother talking to them. Less than a month to go. Can't wait to get home.

When I was there (97-99) there was a lot of "Car" people there. We used to have get togethers at the Honda dealership. I dont know if that still holds true though....... Are you staying in Echo barracks on the "A" school side?

From what I can tell, there are very few car enthusiasts in the area. I definitely wish there more though. Do you remember what dealership it was?
Yeah, I'm staying at Echo barracks. It's not to bad, just wish I had a stove. The galley is ok, but I don't feel like going there for every meal. I bought a Foreman grill and just cook some chicken on that most of the time.

I stayed in Echo for a little bit until my wife moved down. The dealership WAS named Shottenkirk Honda but now (as I found out online) its called Pensacola Honda. The parts manager was an enthusiast and drove a modded Del Sol. He also stocked the Parts Department with a lot of aftermarket parts.

Eric - are you upgrading your speakers? the 62.7 that I have sounds pretty decent if that is what you want.

Also did you hear my loud ass exhaust the other day on Battlefield?

Naw man, I didnt hear it.....I just purchased 2 sets of the reference speakers. Also, Im getting a little nervous because it looks like i'm gonna have to to a lot of modification to get them to work properly. I'm also looking around for a double din kit for a DVD player that i'm about to install...This install looks like its gonna be an expensive beast to pull off.

My INITIAL plan was to do it all myself, BUT, with all that may be involved, I may check with a shop a see their prices.

Dave, did you call me asking about some car problems? I couldn't tell who it was and the number didn't come up. Hope you got everything figured out, but if not let me know.

The nut at the top of the shock was loose. When we looked, it was off and the shock became unseated. We had to remove the assembly and compress the spring to reassemble. he got REAL lucky. The parts came off under the hood apparently while he was driving but stayed under the hood in a couple of places.

I did not see your reply Eric, but yeah, you're right, I was real lucky. My shock on the drivers front came loose and was knocking around every time I hit a bump. Not sure why it came loose though. I initially thought that my camber adjuster came loose. The shock had actually slipped out of the slot either when I jacked it up or probably when I had the shop check it out after getting the car inspected (no, they did not check it out real good).

Sorry.. I just noticed your post.
I'm actually already working on one, but it's going to be a while before it is done.
I am also still working on the frequently requested stickers/decals too..
Depending on how things go, I may have an example on my car by the next meet.

I know a lot of you have been asking for black, so I talked my wife into doing not only black t-shirts, but also long sleeve tees, and hoodies for the winter.
Mock-ups of each shirt can be found below. (images aren't exact, they will look much better in person)

ACURAZINEVA BLACK TEE $15

ACURAZINEVA LONG SLEEVE BLACK TEE $18

ACURAZINEVA BLACK HOODIE $25 (XXL and higher $27)

Payment is required in advance this time. Unfortunately several people ordered shirts for the last meet and never got them. I ended up losing that money so we will be doing credit cards this time. PM me if you are interested in a shirt and we can make arrangements from there. If you have no way of doing credit card contact me to see if we can work something out prior to the meet.
Shirts will be delivered at the Richmond meet or otherwise by request.
I need all orders ASAP so we can get things rolling.
If you have any questions, you are always welcome to call my cell at 757-636-1987.
Hope you like the designs!
Mike
Glad you like the designs guys.

-If you cannot make the meet and cannot pick your order up at my house in VA Beach, we can ship your order. You will be responsible for shipping fees.

When you get a second, call my cell (757-636-1987) and we can discuss our options. I always try to do my best to be accomodating so I am sure we can work something out.

Election day is here and no matter who you all are pulling for in this election...
DON'T FORGET TO GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!!! POLLS ARE OPEN 6am - 7pm here in Virginia
Get out there and let your voice be heard. One voice can change a nation! If possible, do what you can to help others get to the polls too! I am volunteering to provide transportation for voters all day after I vote. If anyone else from Acurazine wants to help too, give me a call on my cell and we can get you set up to volunteer.
Finally, there are a lot of smears, lies, bogus emails, and rhetoric flying around which can make it difficult to make a clear decision.
Here is a great link that helps to set the record straight:

Glad it worked out for you. I'll be back the weekend before Thanksgiving. Just in time to stuff my face.

I was talking to Mike last night (when I ordered my new shirts) and was telling him that on Nov 15th Pinks All Out will be filming at Montgomery Motorsports Park in Montgomery, Alabama. It's about a 2 and a half hour drive so I'll definitely be heading out. The decision now is whether or not I want to run my car down the track. I've never run it before and I don't want to look like an @$$, but it's not everyday you get a chance to do it. It's $20 for a spectator ticket and $60 to run it. What do you guys think?

Start practicing those reaction times!!!! You will want to have that down soon. And you may want to find out somehow what your 1/4 mile times are so you know where you fit in.

WELL GUYS.. I HAD THE WTF MOMENT OF MY LIFE TODAY.
I got a reckless driving ticket on Baxter rd from a cop that couldnt even tell me how fast I was going. Yeah. WTF?
The worst part is.. I know I wasnt speeding.
(but wait.. it get's better)
When he first pulled me over near Bonney Rd, he told me that he heard my exhaust, looked up and I had already passed him.
THEN.. he proceeded to write me a ticket for plate cover (fine, I'll take the blame on that).. my exhaust.. and then reckless driving..
Okay.. I know my car can be a bit loud, and it accelerates fast, BUT COME ON! THREE CHARGES INCLUDING RECKLESS?
He then changed his story saying that he "heard my exhaust from a mile away and watched me accelerate the whole time.. then he said that he paced me and had to go 70 to catch up. (gotta call BULLSH!T on this one guys..) It's time to supeona dash cam and audio and pray to god that it doesn't conveniently disappear.
So.. now all I have to do is spend money I don't have on hiring a lawyer, and "fixing" an exhaust that is legal in all fifty states.
This is definitely not the type of law enforcement we need here. I mean just be honest.. why make stuff up? Was he that bored or just an A$$HOLE?

I'd say he was an asshole! They always pull that "I heard your exhaust so you must be speeding" crap! You can win that shit bro! Sorry for the trouble though.

Almost all cops are assholes, they think they are above the law. Also if i remember right, if you want the dash cam supena'd, and they don't have it, then they don't have a case against you.

DEFINITELY get a lawyer and fight that!!!! I am sure all of you may be aware that judges do not like to listen to us "common" folk without a lawyer. EVEN THOUGH we can be 100% correct.

Damn man, that freaking sucks. I hope it works out for you. I agree cops can be asses most of the time, but I actually got off easy the other day. I'm still in Pensacola as most of you know but I decided to head to Meridian, MS (I have a buddy stationed there) this weekend since I have 4 days off. Not even 30 minutes into the trip I got pulled over for 62 in a 45. At first, I also couldn't find my current insurance card (I knew I had it). So he went to his car, came back carrying some paper...I figured I definitely had a ticket. He ended giving me a written warning for the speeding and a ticket for the insurance card, which I was fortunately able to find that while he was in his car.
Sorry you weren't as lucky as I was Mike, but I really hope that you are able to get it taken care of. It sounds like major BS to me...especially if he's changing his story.
