TLBadyBoy96 (Derrick) was at the HRADA show with us and actually came to Cheeseburger in Paradise with us as well. He does check the threads and calls me from time to time. He was actually sitting at the other end of the table from you.
As for base hobby shops, the only restriction that I know is that the car has to be registered to the person that holds the ID. Now, I think I agree with Mike in saying that the hobby shop may not be worth it. I would also say we could use my place, however, my garage is also very small and there is not tons of driveway or street parking. I've got the tools for the most part, so we could try to make it work. Here is an aerial view of my house. It shows a lot more available street parking that what is typically available, but I guess overall it's not to bad. So if we don't have any other options, we can probably make this work.

Obviously, my house is the one with the A pointing to the roof.

okay.. I am going to score myself pretty high on the dumbass meter for that one. I think Derrick mentioned that he was having computer issues. Do you want to give him a call? 'cuz I really don't want to drive ALL THE WAY to YOUR house!
Seriously.. I'm game for anything! Once we pick the spot I'll be there to show off my complete lack of knowledge and skills!

And Mike, if you need too...I'll give you directions to my house, I can even meet you half way if you need me to, then you can follow me.
Nothing on Adrian lately. Wonder what he's up too.
It's cool man...I'll give Derrick a call and see what's going on.

Damn man...I didn't realize you were so close. I knew Mike lived in the area but I didn't realize that you were right around the corner too.

hey wassup guys... sorry been mia for a while. i cant make it to the superbowl party as of right now but i will try something. im gonna have my folks in town that weekend. my house is a decent place. i have a double car garage also can fit a couple of cars in my driveway and the rest can park on the edge of the street. i have alot of tools. still missing my jack but i will have a 3ton. hobby shop sucks. been there dont really like it. we gotta come up with a really good solid date though. my schedule is hetic. 13 hr workdays and 8 section duty leaves me no room to do alot of stuff. ive done cv alxes, brakes, springs, shocks, all ball joints, and belts here in my garage. pretty much any and everything can be accomplish.

Just a side not...I added another Acura to the family last night. We have been looking for a while and finally found a good deal. We picked up and 08 RDX Tech. I kept the TL of course, we traded in her Accord for it. I've only driven it for about 20 minutes, but I love it so far. It handles like a car for the most part and has tons of power for a 4 cyl...that turbo is awesome! I'm still trying to figure out how to use most of the functions inside, so someone may need to give me a little training. I also don't know how to reset the PIN on the Nav. The previous owner had a PIN set for entering personal addresses and I'd like to see if I can reset before I have to go back to the dealer with it. It also had a 7 yr/100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty...I thought that was pretty damn sweet. We may drive that to the Super Bowl party instead of my POS.
SWEEEEEEET!!!!!! Congrats Jeff!!!!
Hmmmmm.... I wonder how long it will be before you try to increase that boost.

Well, just to let everyone know I will not be able to make it to the Super Bowl party. Too many other people already off that night so I can't make it. I hope you all have fun!!!
Thanks Mike, I really need to get my car taken care of. Its way to cold to even clean my wheels, and I think that the first chance I get I'll head over to carspa. I'll call you next weekend, I would have gone to the party but I gotta work tmrw. Next meet I'm there!
funny that u mention it being to cold becuz i just finished my car at like 6pm tonight and the water was startin to freeze on the car lol. got it all but still, and honestly the carspa by lynnhaven is not the best IMO but ya lol.
No problem man.. give me a call anytime. 757-636-1987
Like I said before.. the biggest drawback about carspa is that you have to look over your car to make sure that it was done the way you wanted. If you find something and point it out, they have no problem taking care of it. The other con is that cars with lowered suspension may have to go when they are staffed well enough to do everything by hand. The pros are that it is convenient, you can usually find coupons, and if it rains within a week after they do your car they will re-wash it for free.
In other words, know what you want and be willing to check over their work to make sure it was done to your standards. If you go prepared, especially with coupons it can be a really good option.
Hope this helps.
Mike

Thanks Derrick.. I know a few of us aren't available the weekend of March 21-22nd, but aside from that, just let me know what date and time in March works best with your schedule for the mod meet and we will go with that. Like Jeff said, we just appreciate you offering up your place man, the rest we can make work.
Mike (636-1987)
luvin' my mods
but hatin' that bacon!
Yeah, the board definitely did die down quite a bit. In case you guys didn't see, I finally post some pics from the HRADA Show. They didn't come out very good at all, but they're there for your viewing. I'll get in touch with Derrick and see when he thinks would be a good time for the mod meet.

Don't forget that Mike normally has the car show on Memorial Day weekend as well. I am sure that will be the case again this year, for those who are not going to make it to this or don't want to make the trip.

I think the Honda Meet is the following weekend.. Maybe we can all try to do both??? That would be a nice way to kick off the summer season!!!
BTW, Dave.. How is your hand healing?
Ok guys here is a crazy question. When you go to put gas in your tank, when you unscrew the cap, is there a silver circular tap there? I tried putting gas in my car today and for some reason it wouldn't work. I have a couple of cars so can't remember if that silver tab is in the TL or not cause right now i dont see it..........Thanks

What's up guys!!! Sorry...I have been MIA. Cold weather sucks; just takes the energy right out of ya! lol! I'm looking forward to upcoming events. Bring it on!
^Derrick - can't say that I have notice a tap or anything. What kind of issues are you having?

Adrian, i might be thinking of my other car. Saturday i tried putting gas in the TL and for some reason the pump wouldn't work. I went to another pump and the same thing happened. I was thinking that there was a sliver circular tab that is in the way when you put the nozzle in but i think i might be getting confused with my 4runner.
